Our Life: Beta Build 0.72!
Added 2020-07-07 17:32:13 +0000 UTCYeah, we're doing another update already, aha. There were some issues with the prior build, which have gotten improvements and fixes now. But also, it has yet another new Moment- Growing! I've started to think about adding Growing to the public demo in next month's expansion and would really like some feedback on the event beforehand. That's the one where you get to determine the MC's sexuality and such, the options for that have to be effective for a wide variety of players.
For those reasons, doing another update now seemed like a good idea. But you're welcome to pass on this download if it's not a big enough change.
Android Version (file name says demo, but it's the beta)
There's still gonna be one more beta update near the end of the month to add the final Step 2 Moment and, hopefully, the first part of the Step 2 Ending scene! Fingers crossed it all comes together in time.
New Content:
- 245,000 words in total
- The Moment "Growing" is now playable
- The Moment "Soiree" got an extra little scene branch
- Jeremy and Miranda have their partial voice acting
- The cut-in image for Mall was added
- Errors were fixed from before
Known Errors:
- Saves from the old beta or the public demo will have errors if used with the new version. Please start a brand new file!
- New events don't have voice acting for most characters yet
- The appearance part of Cove Creator has some small issues with displaying the sprite layers. To try avoiding problems for now, cycle through all the options to get the one you want even if the one you prefer is by default displayed on the Cove Creator sprite.
- If you run into any kind of error report screen, hitting the Ignore option once or twice will generally let the game continue past that point just fine.

2020-07-11 02:51:54 +0000 UTCSo this was my first playthrough with most of these moments and I have to say I continue to fall in love with this game!! I always go looking for games that allow a lot more freedom in the MC's gender and sexuality and you really hit the nail on the head with this! The ability to change your gender etc throughout is refreshing compared to other games of a similar style, and the moment Growing really just adds to it. Being trans and demisexual myself, these moments and small bits in the game really just make me so happy and feel represented and SEEN in a game. The way sensitive topics are handled in the game is done so well imo too!! Honestly all in all I don't feel like my hand is forced into certain choices or paths when playing this game even if it is very on rails. It feels so natural and real and each moment really adds an amazing layer to not only Cove but the MC, other characters, and the world. I'm absolutely obsessed and in love with this game and cannot wait to see further developments!!!
