Our Life: Beta Build 0.81! (Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android)
Added 2020-10-05 19:47:40 +0000 UTCHere we go! It's time for the first beta of October, and what a build it is. We've finally added the fancy formal affair we've teased as being a thing in Step 3.
Because the Moment added, Charity, is the parallel for Fireflies in Step 1 and Soiree in Step 2, you can get extra scenes by doing those events first in your playthrough.
Android Download (I think I forgot to update the main menu image and it still says build 0.80 in the Android version. But it's 0.81 and I didn't wanna delay the release to fix that, aha)
New Content:
- 381,000 words in total
- The Step 3 Moment "Charity" is now playable
- There's a little main menu pop up that will be used in the future to alert players of new info
- Errors were fixed from before
- If you're at Fond or Crush during Step 2, the fourth level of relationship (Love), can be unlocked during Step 3. If you were indifferent during Step 2 then Crush will still be the highest option.
What's Missing:
- A fully functional choice-based Cove for Step 3, please use the Cove Customization Screen to determine things for now
- The transitional narration between Steps 2 and 3
- Getting to customize the appearance of the bedroom in Step 3
Known Errors:
- The phone screen sometimes comes in and out of view weirdly
- Saves from the old beta or the public demo will have errors if used with the new version. Please start a brand new file!
- New events don't have voice acting for most characters yet
- If you run into any kind of error report screen, hitting the Ignore option once or twice will generally let the game continue past that point.

2020-10-08 03:30:13 +0000 UTCOh my gosh... I didn't think it was possible to make Cove even more endearing, but playing through this update just made me fall in love with him all over again. He's so sweet, and everything he said and did just made my heart swell from how much love and care he shows to MC. At times, it even felt as if he was speaking to the player themself, due to some of the lines. That made me cry tears of surprise and joy... Cove, I wanna give you the world!!
