Our Life: Beta Build 0.84! (Windows, Mac, and Linux. Android Coming Later)
Added 2020-11-03 02:21:42 +0000 UTCHello! We've got what will probably be the final beta build before the official release. That's crazy. Last time we already added the ending scenes, so this build doesn't expand the script. But there were important error fixes, new art pieces/screens, and major programming updates.
Those who haven't tried 0.83 yet are encouraged to play this build instead. Those who have already played through 0.83 don't really need this one, though if you're super curious about any new additions/changes you can of course give it a try.
New Content:
- 445,000 words in total
- A new "initiative system" was added to determine how romantic interactions work in Step 3, rather than the less direct method that was used in prior builds
- Two more CGs were added to Step 3
- The tutorial was updated from the demo version to the full game version
- There's a working gallery
- The proper credits sequence was added
- Errors were fixed from before
What's Missing:
- Terri's swimsuit
Known Errors:
- Some of the decorative layers that can decorate the MC's room got save weirdly and look all pixel-y
- Saves from the old beta or the public demo will have errors if used with the new version. Please start a brand new file!
- New events don't have voice acting for most characters yet
- If you run into any kind of error report screen, hitting the Ignore option once or twice will generally let the game continue past that point.

I'm afraid not. The android version of that beta didn't work out, but you can get the completed game as an android download now from Itch- https://gbpatch.itch.io/our-life

Just the bit that was added where the MC can ask Cove if anything between them had made him uncomfortable was perfect. :) also the bit where they got a bit physical after the party felt a bit different. maybe it was the change with the initiative system I had in place, but I liked the added bit where Cove continued to show that he liked what was happening and wanted it to continue. . :) I also really, *really* like the new initiative system. It helps show that we demi's can be just as romanticly comfortable with the person we love as anyone else, it's sexual stuff that can be awkward at times. ;-) or maybe it's that Cove and I experience the same very awkward feelings of being between wanting to be with a person I'm with and being uncomfortable and not knowing what to do about it at first. lol but many times in the game I was like, "same, Cove, same. " "you are not alone'

2020-11-04 01:52:21 +0000 UTCdont know if its already been mentioned, or happened to anyone else, but BitDefender through a false positive when I went to run this version. Which is really odd as it never happened before with the others. If it does happen to you, just wait for it to finish cleaning, click on the alert, then show details, then click the box next to the file name and restore. For me it deleted both the zip file and the exe, but restoring it took less time than it did for BitDefender to "clean" it. For anyone worried, i ran it and nothing exploded = ) GB Patch is trustworthy!

The story and characters had me almost instantly hooked and I am so happy that I stuck around to see it grow into the beautiful game that it is today. I absolutely love that we get to choose the amount of physical touch we have with Cove now. I had always felt that something was a little bit off when I was playing, but I could never quite put my finger on it. It was a brilliant addition to the game, thank you so much!! it makes the relationship with Cove feel a lot more real. The two new CG's were gorgeous!! I absolutely love all the CGS I know that I say this all the time, but thank you for giving me someone to love. This game will forever hold a special place in my heart and I cannot wait for what's to come!

It''s been a great journey to be with you for the long hall. :D I personally also wanted to thank you for some of the additions that I've spotted that I know were specific to feedback that I'd given. I"m just glad that my voice was helpful to clarify a few events so that others can enjoy this game as much as I have. On a personal note, as a demi myself, it's really nice to see a sexuality that doesn't get as much focus. one more piece of feedback since it looked like I had to clarify what demisexuality is for a few people, maybe that should be explained a bit more. I'm not sure how that should flow in dialogue, but I think if someone was in a relationship with a demi they would want to be as understanding as they possibly could. Thank you for all the laughs, tears, and love over the past year. :)
