Our Life: 1.2 Beta Build + New Voiced Names
Added 2021-02-06 03:01:14 +0000 UTCHello! We've got a beta build today that's different from the norm, it'll allow you to test the upcoming update of the already released events. There's not that much to see, but we did wanna put it up for you guys since it's kind of neat and it'd be nice to hear if it actually works, haha.
Save files from your main game are meant to be playable! You should be able to pick up wherever you left off before. If you get an error in your normal files or events are messed up or anything, that means we need to fix a problem with the build.
New Content:
- If you start a new file you'll notice changes to the character creation screen. More hair options and new things you can determine about your MC. If you load an old file, everything will be the way it was originally.
- If you start a new file, there will be special additions based on new character traits you can add. More specifically, the cut-in CGs that show the MC are finally implemented! There's one in the Firefly Moment and one in the Step 2 confession. The one for Step 3 will appear in an upcoming Step 3 DLC Moment.
- If you add the voiced name dlc to the beta file and start a new game, you'll see that there's nearly 100 new name options added to the original set! You can also take it and add it to your non-beta version, if you want.
- There's been various general error fixes.
What's Missing:
- I forgot to add the new main menu pop up image.
- There will be some changes to the "feelings for Cove" screen in the full release of update 1.2.
So that's about it, there's just various improvements to the normal game. I hope you'll enjoy!

Maybe try turning the music all the way down and the voice volume all the way up? Maybe the sound just isn't coming through. Though, if you can hear Jamie but not any of the others, unfortunately it is likely they're in the wrong place. But I can't see the set up so I'm not sure how to suggest you change it. I'm sorry for the trouble with that. If you have Android, you can download a file with the names already included.

2021-02-10 23:10:33 +0000 UTCI really like the added bits with the MC's features. My only issue is the freckles look really weird on certain skintones. Other than that, it's a nice addition and pretty cute.

2021-02-10 05:22:10 +0000 UTCI tried again and had the same issue. I can see and click on all of the name options but there are no voice clips to go along with them on the selection screen or in-game. I'm probably doing something wrong, I'm just not sure what lol I'm sorry

If you downloaded the Voiced Name file linked in this post, extracted it, and added it all into the proper place then it should be possible to hear the voices. But it is normal that if you download the beta only for Jamie to be one name there. It's a large extra that not everyone wants, so we don't keep it a part of the default build. I hope that makes sense!

2021-02-06 22:34:47 +0000 UTCCan you link me a screenshot of it? I'm not able to replicate that problem. Though, even the pale skin tones look dark in the firefly scene because of the very low lighting. So it might be the peachy tone but just looking more dark than it usually does.

2021-02-06 22:19:39 +0000 UTCHi, sorry for commenting again! I noticed that there seems to be an error with the firefly moment. I selected my MC's skin color to be peachy but for some reason the MC's skin is dark brown on the CG.
