As a way to connect and show she cares, Mrs. Lin never misses a chance to send a written card. Thank you letters for whatever, get well soon messages, birthdays, holidays, graduations, and so on. She remembers what's happening in someone else's life, even if when you talk to her she can come across as entirely disinterested by her body language.
Her very outgoing husband and son think she's the best and make sure she's showered with as much attention as she tries to give to others, which she gets awfully shy about.
