2022-10-16 18:28:05 +0000 UTC(Sorry if this is too long or if I said something wrong, it's been a while since I played Baxter parts or read his description) Yeah I remember that, from what he said it's definitely something like his parents not being the best. He doesn't show it but it's clear that the subtext/plot is that of the kinda rich guy being sent away for "misbehaving", his description mentioned him being in a "rebellious phase" or something like that from what I remember and I think that his style and hair choice is related to that, from what I understand (I could be wrong) Baxter is going through a kind of rebellious phase which I would say it's pretty normal for a guy barely in his 20 who was probably forced to do all the polite and elegant stuff (we meet him at a party that is probably between rich/important people) so I can understand why he would get more rebellious as he grow old and then his parents sent him on a place where he can't have a lot of fun to teach him a lesson, who knows, they could also be low-key homophobic even if it don't think the game will touch that subject they could very well send him away for his sexuality as well thinking that liking people in general between every gender is just another part of his rebellious phase that he will "fix" before he comes back home. Definitely it's a punishment from their side and he is going thought a rebellious phase from what I understand/remember which brought him to where the MC live for the summer. Either way this is one of the reason why I'm really interested in Baxter, I like his flirty personality (which is something I love in a partner) plus he's really funny in general and it hurts me to see him sad, even when dancing I felt really bad for him and I wanted to comfort him somehow, I really wish that the dance scene in step 4 during the wedding DLC happen in the Baxter DLC as well, it was a real sweet and intimate moment that I hope to bring further, the idea of him opening up to the MC while dancing is beautiful and really sweet so I hope it will be used in step 4, and who knows maybe even in step 2 during the Soiree we can talk to him while dancing, it would also be a cool callback like with Derek going to the Park as kids and adults while painting faces or Cove ending at the hill where everything started, the dancing scene would be a cool callback to the first meeting which is probably what they are going to do since it already happened with the Soiree and the Wedding DLC, just not Baxter focused yet.
