I can't really answer it either because I'm not a developer XD But if we have to go by assumption (always keeping in mind that nothing is sure yet) probably the highest chance of bilingual characters are going to be Tamarack and Qiu, more Tamarack in my opinion but that all depends on the game development in future steps, still I feel like Tamarack is probably the closest one to that. Even if Qiu is asiatic (from what I understand) they don't seem to speak two languages while Tamarack speak it even if it's just for calling her grandma and grandpa.

Hello! Idk if someone already asked this or not but I’m just curious about how the OLNF will be released. Will it be released as a whole or will you release each Step as you complete them? I’m not familiar with the release of the games since I just recently played OLBA. Also wondering if a wedding DLC will be available in the future for the two love interests after the initial game release like the first game. I love Our Life and the ability to create your character and their personalities through the choices we make. You guys did a great job with OLBA and I can’t wait to see how well OLNF will turn out! From the demo it looks phenomenal!

Would you ever consider making a coloring book out of your lineart? I ask because in one of the previous posts (Our Life 2: Step 3 Promo 1 (Lineart)) someone asked if it would be ok if they made a coloring page out of the image and I had to agree with them :D Coloring is something that I find very calming, especially when it's pictures of things I really love and OL is something I definitely really love ❤️❤️❤️

I don't know if this has been asked before (anywhere) or not, but because of my own interpretation during my many play throughs of the game (and figuring out Cove was autistic from my first play through, literally was still in stage 1 and called it lmao) I was wondering if Cliff was possibly autistic as well, probably undiagnosed, and whether that was intentional or not/just something that can be left up to player interpretation?

This question is completely earnest, good intentioned, and not meant to be any kind of “gotcha” or weird nerd lore lawyering thing. As a Santa Cruz native there are a number of things in Beginnings and Always that struck me as decidedly un-california-y. The existence of fireflies et al being the biggest example, but also the poppies on the hill being white instead of the extremely prolific and iconic orange I remember from my youth, little things like the sun appearing to rise in the west at the end of epilogue, and just sort of how generally wet everything is when I always remembered summers being very dry and flammable. With all of the palm trees I imagine it’s more supposed to be So-Cal and that it’s entirely possible that I’m just hella nor-cal biased and that’s just what it’s like down there and I never noticed from when I’ve visited. I’ve talked to my partner who’s from Costa Mesa but they recused themself of the discussion. (I did a little research and apparently there are dim fireflies deep in the Santa Monica mountains, who knew?) Anyway, my question is just generally: What’s the deal with Sunset Bird? Where is it based on? Was it originally supposed to be somewhere else? What made you choose California as a setting? Whenever I notice something like that, did a wizard do it? Is the real Sunset Bird in our hearts? Thanks! 😜

(Sorry it's a long one) Something you’ve been quite vocal on is that you want your games to be as customizable as possible now, for greater replay value/stronger connection for the players/etc. which I really appreciate but now I’m curious on how you would tackle/view your past characters if they were made today. Do you think it’s now harder to make strong and interesting dynamics between characters, especially when looking back to any past characters like the XOXO ones? Since they’re intentionally made to be assholes who have hard times connecting with others, JB had to be unique so that she could break down their walls. With characters like those, a customizeable MC wouldn’t fly with most of them. Do you ever see yourself making another game with a pre-determined MC for those situations or do you think you could find a way to work around them now? Now a different question: what kind of personality would turn off/make the OL2 LIs hate or dislike the MC (in step 1)? I personally love the enemies-to-lovers trope and OL1 surprisingly worked really well with this dynamic lol.

Here I my questions of the month, all about OL1: - We know Cove has a hard time getting close to Baxter, and is bothered by his fordwarness, and by how he "flirts" with him and the MC. He is so even if we are on a friendship path with him and romancing Derek instead. But is Cove still bothered by that on behalf of the MC once he notices the MC is interested in Baxter that way? - What would each of the love interests say and/or think if the MC told him "You're my soulmate", with absolute certainty? - If the MC doesn't say anything about that to their friends but doesn't hide their interest in Baxter either, how long does it take Cove, Miranda and Terri to notice they have a crush? I'm curious because even with the short bit of content we have so far for Baxter's romance, it felt as if Terri had suspicions. But maybe I was reading too much into that!

I’m probably one of the few people who actually loves taking the indifferent route with Cove! I like to switch over to fond/crush for Step 4. Since their friendship cements offscreen, my question is, what goes on in adult Cove’s head that makes him ultimately decide he can finally be friends with his old neighbor after all this time? The game touches a little on the pressure they dealt with from their families to get along as youngsters, but would there have to be something else that gets him over that last hurdle given their long history, and does it depend on his personality?
