Month End Post: November 2022

Happy end of November, everyone!

It may or may not be holiday season for people now and I hope you're all having a nice time. We had another solid month of development here at GB Patch Games. This is the progress breakdown-

Monthly Content Summary:

The only main goal this month was to really get into the Baxter DLC, and that did happen!

On my end, I drafted 35,085 words for new events (and that's not counting the one day where I brainstormed 7,000 words for a project that isn't coming until after OL2, haha). It was two full Moments done, and partially drafting a third. That in-progress Moment also happens to be the fifth and final Step 3 Moment for Baxter's DLC! All of Step 3 is nearly drafted already.

I wrote 13,345 words of proper scripts. Nearly all of that was for Our Life: Now & Forever!A bonus goal was to make progress on that because I want to do another expansion soon. Even though it's over 10,000, there's one more scene that needs to be done before the next chunk of the prologue is ready for beta testing.

Our new writers and original writers had completed scripts to share as well, so what I wrote alone is only a small portion of how many scenes were actually done. I spent more time than usual editing this month because 45,300 words were sent over.

When it comes to programming, 33,600 words worth of scenes were implemented for Baxter's DLC. That got released as his first beta build not long ago for those on Tier 3 and up (and those who supported the old OL1 Kickstarter). And I did a different kind of programming work this month by implementing some sound effects into Our Life: Now & Forever for some extra immersion.

So, a big chunk of Baxter Step 3 has already been finished and that's fantastic. I'm very curious to see where it'll be by the end of next month, which is the last of the year. That's absurd. But we'll get into the future plans tomorrow!
