There's two guidelines for what can be submitted;
1. I'm afraid questions about what scenes Our Life: Now & Forever will include aren't answerable right now. Most of the details are decided as the game is created and currently I'm only writing the prologue of Step 1. So, I can't accept questions relating to what for sure will or won't happen past that point. I do know some things coming later, but only a small fraction of the whole game.
2. And the questions can't be about more serious/potentially upsetting topics because I don't want those listening to suddenly be surprised with something they might not have been prepared for/want to be confronted with.

It's not decided or not so I can't help you out at all, aha. The adults would know their native language, but whether or not Qiu/Tamarack know it at all or if Chinese or German written lines will ever appear in the game script can't be set yet since I'd need someone else to do the translating. As for the dance hall choice, that's a little too specific. I'd only be able to say for certain once all the dance hall scenes were entirely done. I'm sorry.

2023-02-21 14:43:08 +0000 UTCIt hasn't changed, I'm afraid. It's just not possible with such a highly custom MC. We can't include every kind of disability or mental health conditions because there's hundreds, and it'd be unfair to pick only a couple. But even if we did, disabilities/mental health diagnoses are unique to every person in terms of symptoms and how it manifests. So even if we tried, most people probably wouldn't feel like our portrayal of the condition was actually what they would want it to be. It's best to just have a lot of choices on how the MC acts/feels and let players headcanon if it means they have a condition, rather than us saying it is this specific diagnosis.

Would the OL2 MC be able to attend the dance hall, but not practice ballet; or attend the dance hall, but not putting their main focus on dancing itself (taking ballet lessons for figure skating for example)? Even just knowing if it has been decided on or not would satiate my curiosity (at least for now aha), thank you for your time and take care!

2023-02-09 21:14:41 +0000 UTCBaxter does appear in step 1 and 2 of OL2, although he's more of a side character than a main character. You actually get to meet him in the extended OL2 demo on steam as a 13 year old ^^ (step 1 is set in 2010, just a year before step 2 of OL1)

Would he be on the stricter side, or a bit more easy-going? etc. You can go into as much or as little detail as you like, I just thought this would be a fun question ^^

There might be less ideal endings but that would be dependent on the player's interpretation (like maybe a player with an MC who likes Baxter (or any of the other LIs like Cove or Derek) but still chooses for the MC not to end up with him or something like that.

So pretty much it would be too difficult to implement things like that into the game being that it would be too hard to include every disability and the behaviors that coincide with it and whatnot but a player can feel free to have it in their mind that their MC canonically has a mental illness or something of that nature.

How does the game make note of the passage of time, meaning we may interact with Tamarack and Qiu and think of them as their 10 year old selves, when we play step 2 they’ll be older but we may have fresh on our mind the past moments, how they acted, things that were said. How do you sort out what the characters remember and talk about? Do they still see themselves as 10 year old Tamarack and Qiu but just a bit older, or does it feel like a long ago far off memory but it’s pleasant?

I have three questions about Baxter this month! - All the "misshaps" that happen in Drinks - be it with the not waking up or with the whole anxiety and frustration later on... Did that happen to Baxter in previous relationships? (and if it did, did he take them AS hard as this time?) - In Step 3 Baxter is canonically way richer than the MC, which makes sense. But I feel like in his "route" it would make sense for the MC's financial status to be more relevant later on, so is that a thing we'll be able to set up in Step 4, or is it still headcanon? - Will we be able to at some point set in the game (not only headcanon) that for the MC, the relationship with Baxter was never "just a summer fling", but that they agreed to that because they didn't want to overstep and make Baxter unconfortable, not because they prefered it that way themself?
