We've put together this month's beta build for OL2. It picks up where the prior beta left off and finishes the Moment "Walks". As a reminder, Walks is a Linked Moment but so far the other part of the link, Wheels, doesn't exist. Hopefully I can start writing that event relatively soon, haha. For now, Walks can be enjoyed purely as a stand-alone experience!

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.
Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

Could someone help me figure out how to start the Step 1 Moments event? I tried several things and it doesn't start; tapping, tap & hold, move Moments icon, move stickers on the Moments icon (1 & all of them). I got nothing else. Please help!

I just began playing this version of the beta and I encounter an error during the scene were we meet Qiu, just after he jumped from the playground and ask for our name. When I click to go to the next dialogue this appear instead of the reply: "An exeption has occurred. While running game code: File "game/Step 1/prologue_qiu.rpy", line 729, in File "game/Character Definitions/person_class.rpy", line 1525, in term_words TypeError: unhashable type: 'RevertableSet'" I have the option to ignore it and it doesn't crash the game. My character his a male at birth but identify as nonbinary and use the pronouns They/Them and He/Him. For the honorifics I did selection the option to have multiple and choose Mx. and Mr. in All, and to use all that at random by scene. That might be the source of the problem because when I'm more specific and set the honorifics Mx. in the tab for They/Them and Mr. in the tab for He/Him I don't encounter this error.

I love the scene where they bump heads trying to catch the nuts and you check on Qiu. I fall in love more and more with your work every day. Thank you for this beautiful gift!

I think I already said that before, but I really love the fact we have so many interactions and so much content even if we chose to have a MC who almost never speaks and tends to communicate non-verbally most of the time. It's not always easy to pull off, and I'm glad it works here! I'm very eager to see how it will be to have a MC who doesn't speak much but who is bold - since for the time being my MC is shy and subdued, but that will change in Step 2

I suspected that honestly, but at first "ignored" that possibility because I vaguely remember reading about someone asking the same on Patreon, Tumblr or Discord (despite they had $4+) that's why I kinda assumed it was a bug at first but then started to suspect as I wrote this comment that maybe I just didn't have enough money for it XD Thanks again for confirming my doubts☺️

2023-08-13 23:14:28 +0000 UTCYou can only play the snack king game if you have the most money possible, which is around $4. It's the only way the MC can afford to cover the other kids' snacks. If you have anything less than $4, you can't pay and therefore can't play.

2023-08-13 22:05:13 +0000 UTCSince I fixed the issue by downloading it on my computer I'm going to edit it XD The new DLC was amazing and I loved it, but honestly I just have two things to talk about but one is more about the update before this about the scene of the Snack King scene. If you are part of the boys group is it meant for the game to not let you join the rock-paper-scissor game regardless or are you meant to be able to play it if you join the group? Or maybe it's just because I didn't have enough money that I couldn't play it? Honestly I never thought about it but it would make sense since I always chose the lowest amount of money basing it off the first time I went out to buy something at a shop alone. The second thing is something that I've seen some people mention already so I hope it won't be a bother if I repeat it, but it would be cool to have more neutral/shy quiet answers. For example when picking a answer when Tamarack say Qiu paper is trash it's hard to keep the character neutral or sad as none of the options fit. Obviously I don't expect for the character to be completely mute and if it's not possible to do and for me to request this because the tier isn't high enough it's totally understandable. I admit that for the immersion a bit more of quiet answers where you don't talk would be useful at least to me but obviously with this I don't mean a completely mute character that doesn't speak even when you aren't supposed to make a choice and the dialogue of the MC just adapt to your previous choices.

RIDE WITH MEEEE’ Was perfectly prepared to go to the Extreme Lengths to make this ride-share happen - and you just - hand it on a silver platter? BLESS. YOU. - Appreciated extra dialogue on Main street - Tam’s impressions + Qiu tour guide made it feel more natural with 2 newcomers. - Was really cool getting to see (more)Tamarack interactions with strangers. Especially(👀) - Difference in how she first greeted MC vs. others. How sweetly she waved like she’d known MC forever vs. ‘Salutations, Town Person #46’ (I FEEL SPECIAL, ALL RIGHT) - Tamarack screaming. (INSIDE VOICE - who?) ❤️ - ‘BOOOOYS!’ and - THEN, CASUALLY: ‘FETCH.’ *HURLS NUTS* I… you cannot make her this PERFECT.... - ‘Paper airplanes and now cashews, Tamarack certainly liked throwing things at people.’ ME: *👀👀 comic I drew* CANON CONFIRMED. 🤣 I can’t tell you how gratifying it was seeing 10 yr old MC already coming to this conclusion. - Qiu: ‘That was just a test one!’ My MC: ‘STOP WASTING FOOD’ - Darren catching my MC’s toss. MC: *STICKS TONGUE OUT* CACKLES - ACCIDENTAL HAND + FOREHEAD BONK TROPESSSS!!!
