Month Beginning Post: September 2023 Plans

Happy fall in the northern hemisphere!

The guest art this month is baby Derek because September is when his DLC launched (I cannot believe it's nearly been a year since then), and because his story launch day is also his birthday. September happens to my birthday month, too ✨.

But we all know what this season truly means: Our Life: Now & Forever. There's plenty up ahead for that project, don't you worry. It is Qiu and Tamarack's time. The chaos of last month's launch is soon to be replaced with brand new major milestones.

And now let's get into our upcoming goals-

Monthly Content Plans:

The most crucial piece of progress this month is the OL: N&F Step 2 sneak peek. I'm gonna finish writing the little bit left to go, have it edited/proofread, get it programmed, and release it as a beta before the end of a month!

That shouldn't take all of September, though, so I might start drafting a new OL2 Step 1 Moment or begin writing an S1 moment that's already drafted.

A second bug fixing update will come out for the Our Life: Beginnings & Always Step 4 Bonus Moment soon as well. That should bring it to 100% competition! If possible, the main game will get an update with slight fixes and improvements as well.

That'll be about it for game development stuff. However, there's a lot more to do.

I'll be making a post within a few days or so to better explain how the bonus events are gonna work now that there's two. If you were wondering, this month the Step 3 Bonus Moment is on Tier 2; you'll get both the Step 3 and the Step 4 bonus stories if you join Tier 3 and up. Other Patreon things will need updates, too.

At some point I'll announce what day the OL2 Kickstarter is going live; it will for sure be early October. Lots of preparation is gonna be needed for that. And there'll be more fun OL2 news to share.

Finally, there's a chance the OL1 artbook might be done this month! It will release to Kickstarter backers first, and ideally will come available on Itch/Steam for anyone to purchase in November, around the game's release anniversary.

So, that's the plan, checking off the last of the OL1 things, making good OL2 progress, and being poised to start the next month off with the grand launch of the Our Life: Now & Forever Kickstarter Campaign! And somewhere in the middle I'll try to take a break for my birthday, haha.
