OL2: Beta Build 1.3.12 β¨ (PC, Mac, Android)
Added 2024-04-14 18:00:11 +0000 UTCIt's time for a new beta build! This version includes the first part of a brand-new Moment, Magic. And that Moment happens to be the last one that will be included in the free-to-play version of Step 1. Once all three parts are in the beta we'll be moving on to the DLC Step 1 Moments π

No Information in the beta can be shared publicly.
Screenshots can't be posted, videos can't be uploaded, even discussing what occurs in the events publicly is not allowed and will get your access to future builds revoked.
You can do all of those things within the private GB Patch Discord server or leave your feedback as a comment.

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

New Cut-In images added to older scenes

2024-05-27 04:22:45 +0000 UTCIt's fun because Qiu's first idea of magic sounds like it would be like... shooting fireballs, throwing down force fields, teleportation, and other high fantasy magic shenanigans that are obviously the realm of imagination... for now. And Tamarack's first idea of magic is music, love, and probably even phrases that invoke the will of the world to do as you say. "Have a safe trip", "Have a good day", "Goodnight, sweet dreams". Stuff like that.

2024-04-17 03:16:15 +0000 UTCi think one of my favorite things of getting these step 1 moments is the way it helps contextualizes how tamarack and qiu interact in the step 2 preview. something about how these two are with each other at the start of magic really seems to mirror the step 2 dynamic in a way i can't really explain but it's scratching my brain since i replayed everything yesterday. i guess that makes sense since this is technically the last free moment (if those hints were the intent anyway). also i think this is the first time qiu doesn't seem too interested in what's going on (reads more as a curiosity of what the heck tamarack is going on about) which hits harder if played after hide & seek as is the suggested order. to me it does also put into perspective how tamarack was dragged along for things at least as much as she would allow herself to be since she's not afraid to go "hey i kinda dont like this i'll do something else in the same area." and just how often qiu took the reigns in outings in general now he's just going with the flow and seems a bit more subdued without the need to impress/make sure everyone is having a good time. editing to add: i also wonder if this is the start of tamarack's interest in music since her whimsy equates it to magic. cute if so. idk!!! i just felt like rambling for a bit since i really adore how well rounded these characters are and watching the different ways they bounce off of each other is always fun. i have a lot of fun with this game thank you so much to you and your team for making it.

2024-04-14 21:44:38 +0000 UTCI need to point out something, and I think another person said it, but there's an exception error after the dressing-up menu when you click at one of the moments. For me, it happened with Magic and Fancy Fun (not sure about the other moments) what I did was ignore the error and it let me continue the moment, but I needed to point that out. Other than that, I'm excited for the second part!!

I closed and restarted it twice now, is there something I'm doing wrong? I tried it with both redressing my MC and just going straight to the X on my first and second try. It says the error is "'TEMP_IS_INDOOR' is not defined"
