Month Beginning Post: May 2024 Plans

Hiya!

Spring is slowly coming to an end here on my side of the world. And after two months of disrupted development, May should finally get things back to normal for me.

You can check out how April ended up going HERE. And let's get into what is still to come-

Monthly Content Plans:

This is going to be a very writing heavy month. I'm not sure if I'll do any drafting. I have to finish the script for Part 2 of Moment #9 and I will most likely start writing the first part Moment #10 instead of going into drafting something new. Normally, I do drafting after completing a Moment script, but Moment #10 is gonna be so large that it might make more sense to do at least one chunk of that first and then draft later. If I have time at the end of the month after writing some of Moment #10, the "Fall Ended" section of Step 1 could get the beginning of a draft. We'll see how I far I get with these final events of childhood.

Magic Part 2, which is huge for what should've been half of a Moment, is going to be released in the beta. That means all five of the base game Moments are going to be fully playable soon!

To celebrate getting that far, the free-to-play demo is getting an update this month as well. The Moment Wheels will become playable for everyone and the general improvements/bug fixes to older scenes will be included as well.

I don't have specific release days for either of those updates, but the beta build is gonna come out before the new demo.

Besides that, we're going to program Slumber Party Part 1 for next month's beta, and maybe even more.

For non-development work, I'm working towards opening new positions for OL2! I'm going to be hiring authenticity/sensitivity readers. I'll post about it here, on our socials, and in Discord when I put together an application sheet.

Since there's gonna be a big, new demo build after so long, plus a major milestone being hit in the beta, I might wait until June to release the OL1 artbook. And then it'd be summer, which is fitting for OL1 anyway.

The Step 3 OL1 Bonus Moment is now available on Tier 2! Tier 3, 4, and 5 include the Step 4 Moment as well as the Step 3 Moment, so you get both of them.

There you have it. This'll be a good month. We're fighting our way towards the end of Step 1 with some last, large hurdles and celebrating the progress. I hope you're looking forward to it like I am.
