OL2: Beta Build 1.4.1 ⭐ (PC, Mac, Android)
Added 2024-05-05 18:00:06 +0000 UTCWell, well, well, here we are already, with all five of the free-to-play Moments of Step 1 in the beta build. Yes, "Magic" is complete at the start of May, despite it being nearly double the length of Part 1 from last month. It's amazing.

No Information in the beta can be shared publicly.
Screenshots can't be posted, videos can't be uploaded, even discussing what occurs in the events publicly is not allowed and will get your access to future builds revoked.
You can do all of those things within the private GB Patch Discord server or leave your feedback as a comment.

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

Love the options and the little moments to have heart-to-hearts with each neighbor as foreshadowing for Step 2. I’m gonna be disappointed if in step 3, astronomy isn’t an option. I also think it would be cool if there’s a special reaction from Autumn if you pick Astronomy and from Tamarack if you pick Music in college.

T.T The magic scene was SO impactful after all of the drama of the previous scenes, especially knowing how things are going to go for Act II... I totally wanted to both hold hands AND chant the game title to cast the spell, but being frozen (literally and metaphorically) in that moment with our friends together was so touching. <3 And gah, Qiu finally trusting MC in the treehouse, my heart!!! It's so beautiful how you can see how wonderful each lead is but still see them clash through their different ways of interacting with the world (and their own personal trauma... haha?). Very real. You just KNOW that wish/box is going to come up later, my gosh. T.T

2024-05-10 17:57:34 +0000 UTCI try to check in the comments if it's been mentioned but i've had clothing bugs in the two last moments. In hide and seek I end up with no coat and in magic I have the wrong shirt. Small bug But I thought I should mention it. Loved ALL of it by the way.

Update: looking at it again; after completing Magic and getting the "Thank You" card, it always goes back to the main menu.

2024-05-09 06:40:28 +0000 UTCYou should be able to. Once a Moment is complete it lets you return to the Moment Selection Screen and that's how the prior Moments work. If not, that'd be a mistake.

Listening to how Akmigone mixed the violin and piano as if they were having a conversation with each other, and when listening to that while going through the scenes felt so real in a sense. My MC is someone who is always looking out for their mom and others. So when they con’t help their friends when they feel down, they feel disappointed as if they can’t bring the light in their eyes to sparkle. So when going through what happens with Qiu and realizing how similar they are and wanting to be the person they can relax with with no care about needing to please people, and with how Tamarack isn’t always a happy go lucky girl but is instead very afraid of not being able to help others and not having much control to do anything about it. So it causes my MC to try their hardest to help her play an instrument to create that magic for her(after all music is magic). Overall the story is amazing and I can’t wait to hear more of the compositions that you guys plan to have for future scenes!

2024-05-07 10:27:19 +0000 UTCI loved this moment so SO much! I expected to love it, but it was so great! And the one-on-one scene with Qiu at the fort was so... I have no words. I feel like in a strange way, this is the true start of that romance, even if I have set for my MC to have a crush from the very first meeting basically. I really loved the option that allowed to tell Qiu the MC is going to catch a shooting star for them at some point. I'm planning for my MC to be a dancer, so no matter if this can be referenced in future steps or not, my headcanon will forever be that since my MC realized he can't literally catch a star, then he'll become a star for Qiu. I also think it's interesting how in a way, Tamarack feels more and more like a sister to my MC. Can't wait to be able to label her as "family"!

Like Qiu becoming burnt out on trying so hard for everyone but themself, and Tamarack also tries so hard for things to not work the way she wants them to. T.T I'm just crying over here in a good way.

2024-05-06 17:47:44 +0000 UTCi can see why this is the last free base moment. in a span of a few hours so much changed with the trio between each other and internally. it's definitely a little melancholy in a way that having certain realizations during childhood can be but also really sweet with driving home that this is a neighborhood of people that care about each other. i know tamarack and qiu eventually drift apart between steps, but i do like how the step 2 preview pointed out how they'll still be there for each other if things get rough, and i think this moment helps solidify that. they can butt heads about certain things and not agree but they don't wanna see each other sad if it can be helped. at least that's what i'm picking up. they're very sweet kids at the end of the day. i have a feeling the buried box of wishes will make a reappearance in the future, but i also wonder if the photo taken at the end will show up again too. one of these adults has to scrapbook or have pictures all around the house, surely. also wanted to say that it's been such a joy watching the intro and all the base moments steadily evolve over time. watching you and your team put so much hard work and effort into this is so nice. it's so easy to see that this is a project that you guys love since it reflects so well in what's been put out so far. i'm excited to see what else is in store for it.
