“That was his whole explanation. But you could guess the rest of the story. Golden Grove’s lack of options hit Darren hard. He had to take the closest substitute and live with it.”

qiu “Nah. He’s probably celebrating with his parents. Either having a grand get together at his own big cool house or they went to someone else’s huge house for a Halloween party.”

2024-10-16 15:00:10 +0000 UTCOof. Poor Ren. Having to make due with what you had when your options were limited always sucked when you had a specific idea in mind for a Halloween costume. I'm sure it's still a great costume, but it wouldn't feel the same.

2024-10-14 19:41:03 +0000 UTCSo what happened in the previously released screenshots was just after the events of the script after visiting the Murray's home. 😀 I wonder, if the MC says they want to join in, (that is, if Darren and Qiu might accept) would Tamarack be upset with the MC (esp. if the two were close)? Anyways, I know what it's like to be kind of stuck in between (as in Darren's ready to move on from Trick-or-Treating, but is too young yet for the bigger/older Halloween celebrations). There was a time when I went to a local amusement park (that had closed down since then) with an older cousin and younger sister. I was the tallest of the three, above the "You must be this small." sign, so they got to go on the little kids rides. So my mother told me that being the tallest, I'd be able to go on the bigger rides. Being able to go on one of those before my cousin, I was more than ready. Unfortunately, I was stuck in a strange spot, since I was just short of the "You must be this tall." sign. You'd think they would have made an allowance for someone stuck in the middle....
