August is here, and we’re settling into it like a quiet evening in Golden Grove: a night at the diner, some heart-warming tunes, and a quick chat about bugs (an ideal night for Cove and Tammy!)
There’s a lot to look forward to this month, and we’re grateful you’re with us for another thirty one days of summer! ☀️
Monthly Content Plans
General progress: In August, GB plans to finish EVERYTHING for the linked Moments! A big task, but if anyone can do it, it’s our fearless leader.
We also have a brand new community event to share! You’re hearing it here first – GB is going to start doing Tumblr Q&As the second Sunday of every month. She’ll be ready to read your inbox messages and will respond to as many as she can. What inspired this, you may ask? A while ago, we announced that the Patreon Q&As would become public, but Patrons would be the only ones able to ask questions for them. GB felt that there should still be a space for non-Patrons to ask her questions, so she had the idea to get this event rolling. Stay tuned for more info!
Writing: She’ll also get started on drafting Step 2 Moment #8. (Wow, eight Moments already! Step 2 will be wrapped up before we know it.)
Art: Tons of sprite alterations will be done for Step 2 scenes that are currently being written.
Also, there will be several backgrounds created for new Step 2 locations!
Programming: Finally, programming progress will focus more on the Step 2 prologue – though it likely won’t be fully wrapped up until after next month.

2025-08-21 14:02:00 +0000 UTCHeyyy!! Just saying I absolutely love OL1, and Step 1 of OL2 was AMAZING as well. I adore Qiu and Tamarack so much. I just wanted to also ask, if it doesnt spoil too much, if Step 2 will have more moments with intense drama in them? Home and Hide and Seek were my two favourite moments for, well, the drama that came between the MC, Qiu and Tamarack. Though it did make me cry, can we expect drama in the moments of Step 2? Thank you!!!

I loved OL1 and thorougly laughed my ass off at XOXO. I was wondering if in step 2 Qiu and Tamarack genuinely dislike each other or if its more of a disinterest to one another? Because you do kinda feel the tension between them lmao
