The systemic way patriarchy and beauty standards objectify and pit women against each other is so disgusting. Seeing Elvira’s story gave me another perspective and i related to Agnes. Agnes by no means deserved what she got in life and im not surprised she decided to put herself first over her step family who mistreated her, but i also couldn’t fault Elvira for resenting her, i would have too. LOOOOOVED Alma, she reminds me of my biological little sister. Idk overall, didn’t expect a movie like this to hit this close to my heart and my experiences.

A statement was made here. A clear artistic point of view was given here. Honest truths shown through the prism of a surrealist lens were presented here. And the scariest part of this film to me is, even after all these hundreds of years, many of these truths still ring true. Even in 20 fucking 25. And that is TRUE horror. Brilliant 10/10
