WOTD Remake - New redesigns and characters

In this post, I’m going to give you a quick overview and summary of my recent work, the five redesigns, and the three new secondary characters completed so far, which will be part of the WOTD remake.

I haven't fully decided what to call the remake yet, but here are some options:

Winds of the Destiny: Remake

Winds of the Destiny: Re-imagined

Winds of the Destiny: Rebirth

Winds of the Destiny: Rewind

Winds of the Destiny: Restart

For now, my favorite options are "Winds of the Destiny: Re-imagined" and "Winds of the Destiny: Rewind."

Oh, and an important update, version 0.12.0 will be available for Angel tier patreons on July 5th.
Remember, this version will remain exclusive until the first version of the remake is finished (Ceina, help me out).

Now, let’s start with a look at the redesigns, in the chronological order in which they were created.
It's also worth noting that all the new designs were results of various votes among patreons.

The first character to be redesigned was Elaria, the headmistress of Lionheart Academy and our boss.

Initially, the new design was going to feature Elaria with short hair, but I later changed it and gave her a hairstyle more faithful to the original design.

The main idea was to give her a neater and more organized look, as well as to make changes to her entire design to make her appear more realistic and professional, something I will apply to all other designs as well.

Although I’m planning to make changes to the students’ uniforms at the Academy, I probably won’t make any more changes to Elaria’s headmistress uniform.

The second character to receive a redesign was Valery, the owner of the clothing store where we go to buy clothes for Ceina.

Valery is a character who only makes a brief appearance in the story, but for the remake, I plan to have many more interactions with Clyde, this time as a young woman with multiple jobs.

Beatrice, Yuri’s mother, was the third to be redesigned.

There won’t be any changes to Beatrice’s personality, but her occupation will change. She was a very dedicated secretary, but now she will be a lawyer passionate about her profession, working tirelessly to win her cases and gain prestige and recognition to one day become a judge.

The relationship between her and her daughter Yuri will also remain the same, as Beatrice’s workaholic nature will not change.

Rachel’s gothic friend, Cassidy, was the fourth character to be redesigned.

Cassidy is a girl who appears a few times in the story, and at one point, we get to have an intimate conversation with her, though briefly.

I don’t have major changes planned for her in the remake. The initial plan was always for Cassidy (and the other band members) to have more presence or impact in the story if we follow Rachel’s personal route.

After Cassidy, it was the turn of one of her good friends and bandmate, Shannon.

Unlike Cassidy, I have a major change planned for Shannon. So far, we only knew she was the band leader and nothing more, but in the remake, I will add an important element to her story, as Shannon will now be a skilled tattoo artist responsible for her friends’ tattoos (Cassidy, Rachel).

Those are all the redesigns so far!

Now let’s move on to a brief introduction of the new secondary characters I’ve created.

The first new character is Felicia, a teacher who is affectionate with both her students and her coworkers.

She is the mathematics teacher at Lionheart Academy and started working there a year before Clyde joined. Her interventions in the story will mostly stem from her affectionate personality, creating conflicts with some characters.

Holly, Siri's mother, was the second character created for this remake.

In the story, it is mentioned that Siri's parents are quite absent at home, and this will change a bit in the remake. I plan for Holly to spend more time with her daughter, although the father will still be almost entirely absent.
Holly is a married woman with a very particular arrangement with her husband regarding their relationship.

The most recent addition to this cast of new characters is Kaede, the student council president of Lionheart Academy.

An intelligent girl with the best grades and a great sense of responsibility, Kaede strictly enforces the rules for both students and teachers. She will be in the same class as Asagi, and they will be good friends, although she will have some disputes or conflicts with other characters like Rachel.

¡Hola a todos!

En este post voy a darles un vistazo rápido y resumen de mi trabajo en este ultimo tiempo, los 5 rediseños y 3 nuevos personajes secundarios terminados hasta ahora, que serán parte del remake de WOTD.

Un remake que aún no defino del todo como lo llamaré, algunas opciones son estas:

Oh, y noticia importante, el próximo día 5 de Julio estará disponible la versión 0.12.0 para patreons tier Angel.
Y recuerden que dicha versión quedará ahí hasta que la primera versión del remake esté terminada (Ceina, ayúdame).

Ahora si, vamos primero con un vistazo a los rediseños, y lo haremos en el orden cronologico en el que fueron creados.
Cabe recordar también que todos los nuevos diseños fueron resultados de distintas votaciones entre patreons.

El primer personaje en ser rediseñado fue Elaria, la directora de la Academia Lionheart y nuestra jefa.

Inicialmente, el nuevo diseño iba a ser con una Elaria con cabello corto, pero luego lo cambie y le di un peinado más fiel al diseño original.

La principal idea fue darle un aspecto más prolijo y ordenado, así como también hacer cambios en todo su diseño para que se viera más realista y profesional, algo que por supuesto aplicaré en todos los otros diseños.

Aunque tengo pensado hacer cambios en el uniforme de las estudiantes de la Academia, probablemente no haga más cambios en el uniforme de directora de Elaria.

El segundo personaje en recibir su rediseño fue Valery, la dueña de la tienda de ropa a la cual vamos para comprar ropa para Ceina.

Valery es un personaje que solo hace una breve aparición en la historia, pero para el remake tengo planeado que tenga muchas más interacciones con Clyde, esta vez siendo una chica joven con múltiples trabajos.

Beatrice, la madre de Yuri, fue la tercera en ser rediseñada.

No habrá cambios en la personalidad de Beatrice, pero si en su empleo. Ella hasta ahora era una secretaria muy dedicada a su trabajo, pero ahora será una abogada apasionada por su profesión, que trabaja incansablemente para ganar sus casos y así obtener prestigio y reconocimiento para algún día convertirse en una jueza.

La relación entre ella y su hija Yuri también seguirá siendo la misma, dado que la naturaleza de adicta al trabajo de Beatrice no cambiará.

La amiga gotica de Rachel, Cassidy, fue la cuarta personaje en ser rediseñada.

Cassidy es una chica que aparece unas cuantas veces en la historia, y en una oportunidad podremos hablar íntimamente con ella, aunque de manera también breve.

No tengo pensado grandes cambios para ella en el remake, el plan inicial siempre fue que Cassidy (y los demás miembros de la banda) tengan más aparicion o incidencia en la historia si es que vamos por la ruta personal de Rachel.

Luego de Cassidy, fue el turno de una de sus buenas amigas y compañera de la banda, Shannon.

A diferencia de Cassidy, con Shannon si que tengo un gran cambio planeado. Y es que de ella hasta ahora solo sabiamos que era la lider de la banda y nada más, pero en el remake añadiré un factor importante a su historia, ya que Shannon ahora será una hábil tatuadora, responsable de los tatuajes de sus amigas (Cassidy, Rachel).

¡Eso fueron todos los rediseños hasta ahora!

Ahora pasemos a una breve presentación de los nuevos personajes secundarios que he creado.

El primer nuevo personaje es Felicia, una profesora afectuosa tanto con sus alumnas como con sus compañeros de trabajo.

Ella es la profesora de matemáticas de la Academia Lionheart, y comenzó a trabajar allí un año antes a la incorporación de Clyde.

Sus intervenciones en la historia serán mayormente producidas por su personalidad afectiva, generando conflictos con algunos personajes.

Holly, la madre de Siri, fue la segunda personaje en ser creado para este remake.

Durante la historia se deja saber que los padres de Siri son bastante ausentes en su casa, y eso cambiará un poco en el remake. Ya que tengo planeado que Holly pase más tiempo con su hija, aunque el padre si estará casi 100% ausente.
Holly es una mujer casada, y tiene un acuerdo bastante particular con su esposo con respecto a su relación.

La más reciente incorporación a este elenco de personajes nuevos es Kaede, la presidenta del concejo estudiantil de la Academia Lionheart.

Una chica inteligente, con las mejores calificaciones y un gran sentido de la responsabilidad. Kaede es alguien que hace cumplir las reglas al pie de la letra, tanto a las estudiantes como a los profesores.

Ella formará parte de la misma clase que Asagi y serán buenas amigas, aunque con otros personajes como Rachel tendrá alguna que otra discusión o conflicto.

Hemos llegado al final de las presentaciones de estos nuevos diseños, espero que les haya gustado. Déjenme saber que piensan acerca de estos cambios, y si es que tienen un personaje que les guste más que otro.
