Cripes, buddy, what the hell is your life? First the power outages, then your girlfriend dumped you, and now this?

So I was driving down the road, trying to make a delivery (I work for MoverEats BTW) when I nearly hit this guy who was standing in the middle of the road, holding a honking big revolver! I asked if he was okay, but he then jumped into the passengerâs seat and tells me to drive! And donât worry, @Donkey-Blood, she was a bitch, anyways.

And then it turns out the random tweaked out guy I ended up playing taxi for? Was actually Skunk!

No freaking way! Are you serious?! Skunk? As in, the boss of the Saints?!

@Tons-of-Fun Way, my man! I then ended up ferrying him around while being chased by Sons of Samedi goons and heroes! Banana Loco was even there!
Donât worry, though, itâs all good! After I crashed, Skunk held me hostage and then ran away!

Dude, thatâs not âall good!â Holy shit! Did you get hurt? Did the Sons or heroes cause any problems for you afterwards?

@Gorgonzolla Nah, nothing like that. I got taken into custody for a day, but the cops let me go since I was a victim in the whole thing. Even better, the Saints paid for all the traffic tickets I caused and replaced my busted up car with a brand-new one! Who says crime never pays? Apparently, it pays pretty damn good!

Anyone remember those explosions at the airport a few days ago? When that winter storm was passing through? Turns out it was a fight between the Sons and the Saints. And the Saints blew up a bunch of helicopters the Sons were using to bring drugs into the city.

Jesus doinâ Jumping Jacks! The Samedi are basically dead in the water at this point, arenât they? After getting their labs raided by the heroes and their drug farm looted by the Saints, what do they even have left, besides used needles?
âșMatterMind (Mind over Matter)

@Gorgonzolla At this point, they might not even have the dirty needles. Want to bet that theyâll be wiped out by Christmas?

Yesterday, the General, leader of the Sons of Samedi gang of Stilwater, was ambushed outside of the Rounds Square Shopping Center by the Third Street Saints.
Led by none other than Skunk, leader of the Saints, the attack was vicious and destroyed much of the surrounding area as well as causing millions in damage to the mall and the stores within.
The General was killed by Skunk within a nearby shopping mall after being ambushed in the street and forced to flee, endangering dozens of innocent civilians in this brutal gang fight.
Currently, law enforcement has declined to say anything on the matter, while the mayorâs office is suspiciously silent as well. However, general opinion among Stilwaterâs citizens appears to be euphoric, with many claiming this to be a Christmas Miracle.
And indeed, with only ten days till Christmas, it seems the whole city is being swept up into a massive celebratory mood, with spending and sales on holiday related matters skyrocketing to numbers not seen since the pre-Quirk era.

Donât worry, @Reap the Win, the day before the Saints attacked the General, I conducted a raid on Mr. Sunshineâs base of operations. He refused to surrender, and a shootout occurred. Mr. Sunshine suffered damage from multiple stray gunshot ricochets and bled out before help could arrive.
The leaders of the Sons of Samedi are no longer a problem.

What the hell are the heroes even doing? Why are our tax dollars funding them if they canât even do what a single gang of criminals can? The Saints have done more for the city than any of our so-called heroes! Itâs really concerning that the Saints are so effective where the cops and heroes arenât. Are the Saints even villains at this point?

Hey, real glad the Sons are gone, but I was at the mall on the day in question and I gotta ask: was the General sandbagging until now? Because he was making people go blind with his sense sealing Quirk as he ran through and he got me with it, too. Except he never even touched me. I thought that was his whole thing: touch people and he could remove your sense of pain. Since when he could take peopleâs sight, and do so from a distance?

Troy Bradshaw grit his teeth as he glared at his computer screen. The past few days had been hectic, with cops rushing around trying to catch and cuff as many Sons of Samedi gangbangers as possible before they skipped town.
There was a veritable flood of former drug dealers leaving Stilwater, while at the same time a large number of people were also starting to come to the city. Troy couldnât remember the last time anyone had willingly come to Stilwater to live there, but it seemed that with two of the worst gangs wiped from the face of the Earth and the hype surrounding the Saints, people were tentatively hopeful.
This meant more work for him, more people screaming at him, and more God damned meetings with the mayor, who was frothing mad that the Saints had showed her and the heroes up again.
âFucking harpy,â Troy thought to himself as he sent an email back to the mayorâs secretary, informing her that yes, he would be there tomorrow morning at eight for a meeting with the city council.
He could admit she did a good job at running Stilwater, but she had way too much ambition, just like her late husband. Mayor Monica wanted to run for Congress, and that meant every time the Saints upstaged her, her ratings fell. Which meant that she inevitably would try and come up with a scheme to get things going her way.
Troy hated this. He hated that all the good he thought heâd done when heâd gone undercover had evaporated as new gangs came in to fill the void. He hated having to listen to greedy and incompetent bureaucrats who were more concerned with filling their own pockets.
âAnd I especially hate having to listen to limp-dicked politicians bitch about problems they know nothing about and then refuse to raise my budget!â Troy fumed. The city council kept denying any budget increases for the police. How did they except the cops to actually solve the issues if they lacked the means to do so?
The heroes werenât the ones who made sure the criminals were arrested and processed. The heroes werenât the ones who were in the most danger whenever it was time to bust some crooks. It wasnât the heroes who staffed the prisons and handled the minor cases like drunk driving, domestic abuse, and murder investigations!
But it didnât matter, because the public was as fickle as they were stupid, and the heroes were a shiny new toy that the civilians wanted.
âEver since Quirks, the police have been relegated to being little more than clean-up crews,â Troy sighed despondently.
Not for the first time he wondered if heâd made the right choice in betraying the Saints and choosing to work inside the system. In the end, though, Troy simply shook his head and went back to work. He had paperwork to fill out, after all.

âWell, shit,â Shogo Akuji muttered to himself. âThey work fast.â
Who was âthey,â exactly? The Saints. A thorn in his side, but one he thought he could ignore. The Brotherhood and Sons of Samedi had been much larger problems at the time, and the Ronin had had their hands full with them.
Shogo, like many others, had thought they were a bunch of has-beens. Sure, theyâd done some amazing shit in Stilwater, but five years was a long time and people could lose their touch.
Not Skunk, though. Not Johnny. Not the Third Street Saints! Theyâd bounced back and begun attacking the crime problem head on and in the only way they knew how. With more crime. And it worked! Two gangs whoâd been able to rival the Ronin, the largest, wealthiest, and most powerful criminal gang to ever grace Stilwaterâs streets, had been rooted out and destroyed in less than a year!
â[Shogo-sama, do you think you should contact your father? Let him know about recent developments?]â Jyunichi inquired for his spot in the corner of the room.
Shogo frowned in annoyance. And not just because his right-hand man was speaking Japanese instead of English. No, it was the thought of his father that brought out the frustration.
âIf father learns about the success of the Saints, heâll probably want to take a more active roll in running the gang,â Shogo thought to himself, the idea leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.
Shogo was the one whoâd seen the opportunities presented in Stilwater while his father languished in Japan, unable to move on from the old thinking of the Yakuza. Shogo had founded the Ronin with minimal help from the old powers, and he wasnât going to hand over control to his old man, whoâd shove him aside!
âFather always looks down on my accomplishments! Heâll take over and ignore everything Iâve built here!â Shogo thought to himself angrily.
âNo,â the leader of the Ronin eventually said aloud. âFather will learn of this one way or another, but I will not go to him for aide. We can handle the Saints ourselves.â
â[Iâm sure thatâs what the Brotherhood and Sons thought as well,]â Jyunichi said dryly.
âWell unlike them, I have way more contacts and resources,â Shogo retorted. âMaero and the General had some heroes and cops in their pockets, but Iâve got Ultor on my side.â
Who needed the police when you had backroom deals with Ultor? Shogo had worked with Dane Vogel five years ago, helping the ambitious young businessman buy up huge chunks of Stilwater in exchange for favors and funds. Without those secret agreements, the Ronin wouldnât have been able to cement themselves as one of the Big Three.
And Ultor needed the Ronin as much as the Ronin needed Ultor. The east and north of Stilwater were the wealthiest parts of the city, and that was entirely due to the gang and corporation working together.
âTell our boys â and girls, I read the damned memo from HR! â to step up patrols throughout our territory. Weâre not going to let the Saints creep in and take us by surprise!â Shogo order.
â[Yes, Shogo-sama.]â
âAnd find out who the fuck these Saints are!â Shogo added. âI want to know names and addresses, Jyun! If the Saints are gonna fuck with us, Iâll fuck âem right back where it hurts the most!â
â[That would be a breach of the Unspoken Rules. They will not like that,]â Jyunichi warned, causing Shogo to scoff.
âWho cares? We kill a few of their family members and the Saints will back off and stay in their lane. They can keep the territory theyâve claimed from the other two gangs. But if they try and enter our territory, then they can pay the price!â Shogo growled.
Jyunichi bowed obediently and left to do as commanded, leaving Shogo to brood alone in the penthouse. The Saints would suffer if they tried to fight him! And that was a promise!
