Along the lines of banking pages or providing other content while you're working, creators like Balsamique just pull panels from their work and quickly turn them into nudes. Like the recent page with MC and Mrs Harrison. You could drop a version without the bra really quick and post it while you're inking or coloring a page. Just a thought 😀

100% agree. I would also stop saying specific days when you'll post pages. You've missed almost all of them. Just say you're shooting for a page every other week and deliver them when you can. Setting realistic expectations will take a lot of pressure off of you.

This is not a subscription service, where we expect a new page every week, this is a platform for you to share your art and we are giving you tips as a form of appreciation and gratitude. You don't owe us anything, just as we don't owe you. In my opinion, i respect if you think or feel differently, it is not worth to get burned out over a hobby, even if you make money with it. Take a break if you need it, noone is going to judge you for it and if someone does, it shows they've got their values wrong. I at least will have your back. Still, communication would be appreciated. This silence is making you look uninterested and ignorant towards us and your work and i know this is not true. Love to you, BL <3

Continuing our 'banking' updates discussion, also consider the practice of 'underpromise, overdeliver'. It's a mantra in business that can often be used inappropriately, but in this case I think it's a worthwhile concept to consider. Assuming you're not already doing it. Basically when posting when you expect pages to be ready, be conservative. Give yourself a few extra days beyond what you think it'll take when telling people when the next page will be posted. If you wrap things up fast, everybody's happy. If something happens, you have a few days of wiggle room. Time pressure, even something that's self-imposed is one of the surefire ways of turning something that's fun and fulfilling into a dreaded slog. Even when you don't need that extra time, it can be really freeing knowing that you have it available. Fortunately it seems like you have a really supportive and understanding patron base. Without anyone really seeming to throw a fit about life getting in the way. That kind of community is worth its weight in gold and it's really nice to see. So it's not strictly necessary to bank and/or UPOD. I'm just raising it as possible strategies if you're starting to feel burned out.

Ever consider 'banking' pages? I'm not sure what your workflow is but it seems like you post pages as soon as you're done with it. Which is great! It really shows how responsive you are to reader feedback. But it also puts a lot of pressure on you to produce. Burnout has a way of sneaking up on you. Even being a couple pages ahead gives you a little bit more wiggle room when other life obligations come up. You also don't necessarily have to be cranking out new pages as updates. In the past you've posted some of your other work, posting more (in a variety of states of completion) keeps the update train moving and gives you the necessary headspace to work at your own peace.

With respect Jules, that example is not the same. If you purchase something on Amazon, you are paying for a product. By supporting an artist on Patreon, your literally a patron of the arts. You're not paying for a finished product, your financially supporting an artist that you appreciate the work of. So variable output speeds is just a part of the process. Certain pages may take longer because of the difficulty involved or other real life obligations. And unlike an established webcomic or similar artistic project, these pages aren't being 'banked' so they can be released at regular intervals. Plus we're talking about $1.00 USD a month here. That said, would I like it if updates came faster and were better communicated? Absolutely. But at the aforementioned $1 a month I'm not too bothered by the current status. Lastly, I do apologize if I come across as picking on you. That's not my intent. I know you're not the only one who's raised similar concerns. And it's one I absolutely understand. You just happen to be one of the last comments I saw when I was formulating my thoughts. And your Amazon example was an ideal way to bring up the patronage Vs product situation. I'm a web content creator myself so this is a discussion I have some degree of familiarity and the corresponding strong opinions about.

One thing I love about this comic is the changes aren't always immediate and drastic. It makes the pieces fun and keeps a bit of tension to the story. That being said, I am curious if taking a picture is supposed to be a minor change that stays that way - but more pictures get the subject sluttier and sluttier - or if the first picture starts a slow descent into horny servitude, and more pictures make it happen faster.

It's not about getting rid of the bubbles and going on without text. I've said that many times before. It's about introducing an extra tier in which he puts the pictures. There, people like me can support him without impeding the flow of the story. That would work if he saved the images before he draws the bubbles and posted them at the same time as the finished panel, but that might cut into his workflow.
