Status report
Added 2023-10-03 01:55:56 +0000 UTCThings are coming together nicely and I can see the finished v0.6 pretty clearly in my mind. Now it's just the matter of finishing the stuff that's left to do.
I will try not to expand what's left too much but stick to what's necessary to not delay the release date of v0.6 too much. Should be ready for November at the latest. Doubt I can make it in October but never say never.
To save time, I already had to cut out that "big event" I've been talking about in previous posts, originally planned for v0.4. That "big event" was actually the first one I worked on for v0.6, laying out the groundwork storywise and preparing the media, but I never sat down to actually create the event. Which was good because as the other big events in v0.6 grew in size, it was better to postpone the "big event" for a future update. The event is referenced in v0.6 though, so it's gonna happen in v0.7. At least, that's the plan. :D

The "big event" actually isn't very big, especially since much of it became absorbed by the other events taking place in v0.6. At this point, the "big event" is not much more than a regular event. It's just that it's been planned for so long, and it's a bit special in its own way. I just mention it sometimes to give a little insight into how I develop my game. There is no ready script and usually I start working on the next update with just a few ideas of what I want to happen in the update to move towards the ending or some special event I have in my mind. Then stuff just develops on its own in a way, as I see where things go and have to adapt my plans for the update as I keep working on it.
