Read this if you're on an Apple device!
Added 2025-04-11 11:10:00 +0000 UTCSo, Apple recently ruled that Patreon subscriptions purchased through the app store are subject to the 30% cut that Apple takes on all purchases. In practice, that means if you subscribed to my Patreon through the Patreon app on an Apple device, you're paying roughly 45% more to account for that fee.
(This is only for new subscriptions since a few months, older ongoing ones are unaffected!)
For the record, my tier prices (in USD) are $1 for the Peasant tier, $2 dollars for the Emerald tier, $5 dollars for the Sapphire tier, and $10 for Ruby.
So if you're currently paying something like $1.50 for the Peasant tier or $14.50 for the Ruby tier, you're getting scammed by Apple.
The solution is easy, thankfully: you can simply unsubscribe, then resub through the Patreon website rather than the Patreon app. (Or use the Patreon app on an Android device.)

My favorite color! 😀 Oh and I’m on my 15th re-read. 🤦🏻♂️ I admit, I’m broken hearted that the series is over when it has so so much more potential. 😭. But that won’t stop me from re-reading AND being a Ruby member! 😂
