Dutchie represent. Netherlands is very nice, but there's not much nature. Like it's so bizarre bc there's basically no rocks there except in certain areas because a glacier brought them there. The country as a whole is a giant river delta. I caution going to Amsterdam though, because there's just SO MANY PEOPLE. I mean it, the city streets outside of the main train station are not meant to handle so many people so it's kinda claustrophobic at first bc there's so many people. However in Amsterdam you can definitely find any little thing you want if you look in the right corners. Many awesome history and art museums. Rotterdam is also kind of cool because it was modernised after being set on fire by Nazis. Then you have the rest of the randstadt: Lijden, Utrecht, and many other cities. Thats's the big-city-west-coast area. If you actually go to the coast, it's the sand-dunes type with sea brush, cold sea, and very un-deep water that goes on for dozens of metres. Then you have the hilly south, where Maastricht is, and there there's actually some hills. The highest point of the netherlands is at the tristate area of germany, netherlands, belgium (the south). In the north you have Groningen and Friesland. These are VERY out of the way places with very little people living there. in the same-named capital of Groningen has 230k people, 25% being university students. Friesland is definitely interesting because it's inhabited by the Fries, who speak a language that sounds like it's in between dutch and english. it sounds "english" at least. They used to have many more prominence and have their own country but that changes with time. They're noteworthy for having a peasant republic before it was cool, as in from 1200-1500 aboutish. There's a whole article on this. Basically because they were on flatlands that would constantly flood, no king or whatever cared to exercise their authority so they were essentially free [which is why this whole concept/period is called fresian freedom]. They may like or cringe when you say "eala frya fresena" which means something like "stand up free fresian" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eala_Frya_Fresena ) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV4_7nXvQLE has how they pronounce it). Then you have the east side. Idk much about it but Nijmegen is the oldest city in the country, being 2000 years old. Think about that. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nijmegen) so that's pretty cool. also yeah the black forrest a.k.a. Scharzwald is a pretty nice place. It can seem a bit sanitised because its either pitch black forest or rolling hills. But the sun shines brightly and in a way I can see people thinking it's heavenlike. Freiburg is nearby too, with many institutes and a university. I think it's also the most Eco friendly city in either germany or the EU.
