Houdini - Infinite Flux Engine
Added 2021-04-12 15:31:44 +0000 UTCBefore anyone goes "oh god, is he turning into an NFT crypto artist???"- this was just the result of some recent experiments in Houdini, nothing more, nothing less. I know this account is predominantly focused around inflatable assets of the spherical kind (and this doesn't quite fall into that category), but I swear I'm not planning on making this a regular thing. These are just some abstract results that I came up with while trying to learn Houdini and figured they looked neat enough to post.
Anyways, yeah.
I don't really know what this was supposed to be, other than an excuse to mess around with a bunch of stuff in the SOP node graphs and VEX. Maybe it causes spontaneous hourglass inflation on contact or something, who knows. What I do know is that a lot of the procedural systems in Houdini are absolutely incredible to work with, and I can't wait to get to the point that I can actually use them to make some awesome stuff that fits in a bit better with what I usually post around here... >,>

Regardless of what it is, I think it looks cool! Seeing cool stuff is always fun, so I don't mind seeing it alongside the regular inflating shenanigans. :)
