Nicky's story was great. I loved that. And of course I loved when Danny was looked out naked and found by his family. It's great that the Davies' took Danny's wardrobe "malfunction" with humor.

2024-10-27 05:55:13 +0000 UTCThe highlight of this chapter, for me: “I’m sorry you lost your twin,” Aidan said, glancing at Cian thoughtfully for a moment. As he looked back up at Nicky he smiled and said, “You can have mine if you like. I’m not using him!” The good voice/naughty voice dichotomy is more evident with Mikey in this chapter.

2024-10-25 20:18:48 +0000 UTCI think Danny is developing sort of an anxiety of not living up to the standards he thinks people, including (especially!) himself (and also us readers – don't you think so?) are demanding of him. This said, I think Chris's Story for Nicky was a balancing act (as Chris himself was very well aware of) and could have gone terribly wrong but for Nicky's growing acceptance of his own feelings (and Aidan and Cian adopting him as their "third twin" – a very moving act). So it became a bitter-sweet and extremely touching tale affecting the audience as much as the readers! Not so much of David in this chapter… I am still waiting for his realisation of what is going on with Mikey. How hard for his parents to have to deal with his undiagnosed psychosis! But Rob and Milo seem to be on brotherly terms again, so at least this issue is solved (for the time being)…
