I know what you mean about the amount of information. It's staggering. I've made it up to Ch. 27 of TFK now, including reading Half-Term at Kingswood at the appropriate time. Even knowing what has happened since, I still manage to cry and feel joy as I re-read. That's the sign of a truly great story to me. Reading the comments is also interesting. If I had time, I would love to see how many times our predictions were correct and how often we were off the mark. But if I did that, I'd never do any writing of my own.

2025-02-09 14:40:11 +0000 UTCThe thing I love about Gray is gradually understanding more and more that the confident 'character' he puts on around other people is so vastly different from the real boy underneath. Hopefully moments like the ones in this chapter help make hima bit closer in confidence to his public persona. Yeah, it's been a few quiet chapters, but you're right, it's good to have a moment to recover. It's all about the rise and fall, but now you have to wonder what's next - more rising, or another fall???!?

2025-02-09 14:30:47 +0000 UTCConversations between close friends like that can be wonderful. It's nice that they have someone they can talk to about these things, but telling a friend about your crush and telling your crush about your crush are very different. One is certainly harder than the other! With everyone else knowing about it before they admit it to each other is really a reflection of my own real life experience. I have been oblivious to things like this before. It's so easy to not see what's fright in front of you!

2025-02-08 14:44:51 +0000 UTCThis week's quotable quote is a toss-up between Max saying to Danny, “I have a terrible feeling that that’s the voice of experience!” and Rob telling his dormmates, “I’m more into mass-debating!” Or maybe the prize should go to Nicky saying to Mikey, “Hey, what are best friends for if I can’t fuck some sense into you now and then!” I have to confess that I'm fairly partial to mass-debating myself. Still no clues to the identity of Locky. Still no info re the failed prank on the Year 7s. Danny definitely hit a nerve with his suggestion that Max should formally adopt Josh -- wonder if that will lead to anything? Looking forward to Kinkswood.

2025-02-08 04:03:42 +0000 UTCI loved Gray's and Mark's conversation. It's been evident for a long time that both desire to be more than friends with Nicky and Josh, respectively, but they are afraid to take the next step and express their feelings. Matt seems to be teasing us each chapter, hoping they would take that step, but alas, they don't. I can't wait for that to happen. I am rooting for Mark to share his true feelings for Josh finally. I think it is funny that he is afraid of what the other guys might think, when they already know.

2025-02-07 23:58:03 +0000 UTCI hope Gray is a little less worried, now that Mark explained the relationship that Nicky and Mikey have. Nice to see Gray acknowledge that he likes Nicky (although none of us doubted that). I'm curious what Mikey's new idea is, and I'm waiting impatiently for Chris to share his second book with us. This was another chapter with nothing terribly earth-shattering, but it's been nice having a couple of chapters that allow us all to relax and breathe. How long this will last is anyone's guess. I say one more chapter, at most.
