2025-09-03 01:01:19 +0000 UTCRegarding who will go on the London trip, I checked the profiles and history thing to see who takes GCSE Drama. We have GCSE information about the 8 guys of the main dorms, plus Gray, Adrian, Kyle and Jazz. Out of this list, Danny, Chris, Mark, Nicky and Gray take GCSE Drama.

2025-08-30 18:53:03 +0000 UTCIt was nice to see an appearance by Mr. Everett. For some reason, I feel a special bond between him and Danny. It would be wild if Danny were to someday become Headmaster. The suggestion of a forfeit coming from him and his support of Danny's forfeit for the teachers' team are quite interesting. I'm getting a feeling from Rob that he isn't happy being secretly involved with both Jazz and Luke. And let's be honest, what's not to love about the real Mikey? The brief appearance of Finn made me happy, but then like you say, no bonus story likely means very little of Finn here. If we get very little Finn, maybe we will get a bit more Charlie from King Edwards. It's not the same, but those two are my favorite non-Kingswood characters, so I will hope for an appearance by him. The London trip is something I am looking forward to - since as you mentioned it is a rare occurrence. Rooming assignments there could cause some interesting developments, depending on who Mark is in a room with. I don't think the length of the trip was mentioned, though.

2025-08-30 16:35:50 +0000 UTCI hate to see Josh hurting - especially since it took him so long to admit his feelings for Mark. It wouldn't be Matt, though, if he gave us the totally sweet wholesome relationship we want for those two without some difficulty.

2025-08-30 16:35:01 +0000 UTCI had posted a reply to this from my phone, but somehow it never made it here. What you say about David and Shane's relationship seems quite reasonable to me. This would be a great time for David to ask for advice from their dormmates. However, David has shown time and again they have trouble opening up about things, so I don't think we will see that happen for a while. I'm trying to keep an open mind about Shane, since he is new, but it's really tough to see David struggling again with a mentee. I believe Shane to be a good guy since he seems to have a great relationship with his dormmates. And I still believe that there is something that David can find in common with him to bond over - like the quote from a TV show that David recognized in an earlier chapter.

2025-08-30 16:33:00 +0000 UTCLet's go over this chapter in an orderly fashion...just kidding, I'll start with the ending. It became clear throughout the chapter that the teachers had an ace up their sleeves, Blane was way too confident. But that offer to Danny, wow! He's now faced with a difficult decision, because Danny loves two things, helping people and sex. If he throws the match, the reward will surely be related to the second one, but he'll be hurting his team by making them play naked for essentially his own benefit. But, if he doesn't, he'll have to face the loss of opportunity and his curiosity of what that secret could be. I don't know what Danny will do, both options had disadvantages regarding how Danny thinks, and they both seem to work narratively. If he accepts the offer, we get the cool sex secret and probably a storyline of Danny's regret every time the team plays naked. If he refuses the offer, we get cool scenes of naked teachers, and seeing them have to handle having relied too much on their confidence that Danny would accept the offer. I already loved Mr Everett, but it turns out he can still surprise me. Him being the one to suggest a forfeit is wild, but he was also careful in having the teachers select the forfeit first. I think his goal was letting them set the tone of how light or hard the forfeit would be, knowing Danny would match it with his. This gave the teachers the opportunity to set a light forfeit and receive a light one in response. But they didn't do that because they were confident Danny would accept the offer. We'll see how that goes for them. Josh is clearly unhappy with Mark kissing Harley for the play, especially so passionately. Which means his reactions last week to Mark doing sexual stuff with Gray were probably the same thing. Of course, it would be easier if he calmed discussed this with Mark, but try telling teenagers to do that. Plus, Josh probably thinks he's wrong to think like that, because the Harley stuff is for professional reasons and the Gray stuff is fits with open relationships being the norm at Kingswood. This is probably the main reason he doesn't want to admit it, but it's going to keep eating him inside. The whole...not love triangle, maybe sex triangle between Rob, Jazz and Luke was already a mess. But now we're complicating things further by having Rob seemingly be in love or attracted to Mikey. I want to see what this whole thing leads to. Regarding Chris, you're evil and I love it. The promise of getting a single orgasm in the middle of his long five weeks, and what he gave in exchange, turning in him only getting a ruined one has to be so frustrating. I don't think Josh's appointment will lead to anything bad, but I'm worried for him. I'm interested in the London trip, it's only the second school trip outside Kingswood and the other one was to the woods, a place mostly without other people. Seeing Finn briefly in this chapter reminded me that it's a shame that, since there won't be a bonus story, we're almost certainly not going to see him much. I had plenty to say about David and Shane, but I covered it on a separate comment.

2025-08-30 14:44:35 +0000 UTCWow... just, wow. What Mr. Cunningham doing... is that what a teacher should do? It will be a disaster to both if Danny agrees! Even if Danny didn't agree, such conversation would cost Mr. Cunningham his job!

2025-08-30 09:14:10 +0000 UTCMy thoughts about Josh: He said he is fine with Mark kissing Harley professionally and doing sexy things with his best friend Gray. But he also seems to be bothered by it.... i think this might be a difficult thing in their relationship

2025-08-30 07:40:27 +0000 UTCI loved this chapter and I'll have a lot of stuff to say after I get time to think it through. But I want to say one thing now while my thoughts are fresh. I was probably completely wrong in my theory about Shane's attitude towards David. The exchange with Josh in chapter 2 that started with Shane saying “I heard they were a… they!” planted a seed in my thoughts of wondering if there was anti-nonbinary bigotry involved, despite Shane's denial in that same exchange, but now I think that was a red herring. I'll go over my new theory. David is the kind of person to partially blame themselves for the whole thing with Axel last year. They'd be wrong to do it, as it can only be Axel's fault, but they'd think maybe it could have been avoided if they had mentored him differently. So now David goes into the new year with thoughts of what they wish they had done with Axel, which probably mostly involves being more strict. Maybe that would have worked with Axel, but that doesn't mean it works with Shane, and I actually think it's a bad idea with anyone. Part of the reason students get a student mentor is to have someone with a closer relationship than with teachers, someone they'll be more comfortable with talking about things they wouldn't want to say to a teacher. But the way David is conducting the mentor meetings has them acting similar to a teacher, which puts Shane off. The reason they don't have a close relationship is the way David acts towards Shane in those meetings doesn't lend itself to that, it pushes them to a more formal relation. Shane probably hears from his dormmates how cool their mentors towards them are and resents David for being the complete opposite towards him, all business and no play. David notices Shane acting like this without realising the reason, and his reaction makes him push further into having only a business relation with him, which just makes it worse.
