Yeah, definitely some interesting developments to come with the Nicky situation, maybe not what is expected though 😊 Josh's struggle is wonderful to write. It's a fine balance between showing the issues and avoiding bleakness, but I think it's showing both his and his friends' reactions and feelings pretty well. Danny really is his own worst enemy most of the time. It's so often the people who excel at helping others who are worst at helping themselves. Mikey's idea is a fun on, and Mikey definitely needs more fun in his life!

2026-01-10 17:25:49 +0000 UTCYou mentioning Dom reminded me of something in his conversation with Danny that I meant to mention. It was nice to see Jesse brought to mind by Danny (although I think Matt called him Casey here). Jesse was one of my favorite non-core group characters during Danny's Year 7. Interesting that Dom brought up the Year 13 vs Year 7 perspectives on the same situation. Might be something to keep in mind for the future, as Aidan and Cian would be Year 7 students and Danny Year 13 if the twins come to Kingswood.

2026-01-10 13:39:11 +0000 UTCI'm glad Levy and Blane told Chris the truth. It would have been better for Danny to not have overheard them, enabling for them to only say it when they have more info. But the cat was out of the bag, so they needed to do it quickly. I'm pretty sure I can count in one hand the number of times Chris has gotten angry since year 7, so him shouting is a big deal. It shows how much he cares about them and is a big contrast from when he didn't want Blane to be in Kingswood. But he'll understand with some time and the help of that conversation we saw. Danny still really needs to talk to someone about the stuff that's been bothering him, Chris learning about one thing is only a minor help. But, based on his depression in year 9, Danny seems to find it easier to first confide with someone he trusts that's not directly related to the issues. Finn was that person at the time, but now him, Chris and Levy are all either involved or closely related to the people involved. This probably makes it harder for Danny to open up, I think he should Joseph and have him be a mentor again for a new minutes. For dom/sub night, I wondered if Danny's first choice was going to be Dom or Mr. Beecham. I guessed wrong, although he ultimately got both. But it was his interactions Mr. Cho that interested me more, I particularly liked how the story played with the Japanese honorifics. Both the contrast between the ones Danny used as a Dom and afterwards, plus the respectful bow, and the different between what Mr. Cho used in class and here. We're definitely getting Mr. Cho doming Danny at some point and I want to see how that goes after how hard Danny went. It was nice to see Josh slowly start to be able to play sports again. Danny trusted him to restart under some limitations, probably because he has experienced being out himself and he hated it. Rob was overprotective because of course he was, but Josh played him like a fiddle, I loved it. But what Josh told Rob about football shows that he's mature enough to know when he needs to stop. Of course, rugby involving crashing into other players means it requires more care than football, but there's plenty he can do in training without getting into that part. Like Rich said, I hope the tutoring will bring up David ADHD diagnosis for Nicky again and make him get help to confirm if it's really that. Mikey's new business is interesting, but what's even better is him wanting to work with more people and the feedback he received of how much they like his past ideas. I'm glad Mikey shot down the recording thing, that would have been bad for David at this point. But, after they recover more from the addiction, David will have to eventually face temptation and I hope they'll be able to pull through.

2026-01-10 10:29:13 +0000 UTCHmm... there are a couple of "Levi"s that should be "Blane"s in the section of their talk with Chris. Like, * “That’s pretty horny!” Levi smirked, but wiped the smile off his face as he got a scathing look from Levi. ==> Either first or second Levi should be Blane * “Persistently!” Levi added with an eye roll. ==> Levi here should be Blane * “No, what... no!” Levi frowned, moving his hand to cover Chris’s mouth. He took a deep breath, looking to Levi for moral support before he lowered his hand and explained, ==> first Levi should be Blane I guess either Matt really like Levi or it's a really stressful scene to write... or both! 😏

2026-01-10 01:41:08 +0000 UTCHoping that Nicky's request for help studying will ultimately lead to him getting help with what David believes is ADHD. Glad to see Josh getting a little more of his pre-cancer life back. It's good to see him aware of his limits and Rob acknowledging that Josh is. Still worried a lot about Danny. Nice for Chris to now know at least one of things Danny has been dealing with - at least they can lean on each other. Poor Chris, though. I really feel for him: he has come a long way from not wanting Blane at Kingswood when he first took a job there. It should be interesting to see what happens with Mikey's newest business idea. This one includes more people at the beginning than previous ones.
