2025-10-27 09:43:47 +0000 UTCShireen's screams are the toughest part of this episode. Stannis' obsession with his own destiny is finally unraveling, like a snake eating its own tail. Dany riding Drogon for the first time and escaping the great games still gives me chills. BTW, that is Daenerys' last chapter in the books. Also, not sure if you clocked it, but Ser Meryn Trant (the POS Kingsguard in the brothel) has been on Arya's kill list for a long time. He is the guy that killed Syrio Forel, her "dancing" master.

He says if he dies in the coming battle “you will fight for my daughter and seat her on the iron throne”. If he does this in the books like they did in the show, then I will be very disappointed. I did my best to avoid spoilers. Hope I didn’t screw up. He’s my favorite character in the books. Not a fanatic at all in any way. He sees the lord of light as a means to an end, and he never burned people alive for worshipping “false idols”. Anyone who burned was an enemy or a traitor to his cause.
