So, Onion Friend has a few shout outs. For one, the brothers are Sour Cream and Onion, a popular flavour of potato chip/crisp. For another, in Joy Ride, Sour Cream mentioned his mom, and that his stepdad doesn't like his deejaying; he even says 'muh muh muh' when impersonating him. Vidalia was actually the girl that Marty, Doug's manager, was hanging around with in Story for Steven. And Vidalia is a type of onion.
