2023-09-15 20:41:56 +0000 UTCWell the main focus of the episode was how close lapis and peridot had gotten and how this breakup has affected her i like the major the contrast they made about them. Lapis as we have seen since season 1 is extremely powerful able to control giant amounts of water and use it as weapons and was able to defeat or at least defend herself from every gem she has fought from the crystal gems to the rubies and even jasper, yet despite her power she gives into her fears often from her past and just the idea of the diamonds coming to earth has her panicking. Peridot however has almost no fear for them, not only did she call yellow diamond a clod to her face but she would rather stay and fight rather then running away and this is without any powers like what lapis has. Shows how far Peridot has come from the very pragmatic technician who followed orders without question when she first appeared.
