Eagle Union - USS Laffey

These 3 artworks are from my book ParadiseLane

I got a lot of new experiences while creating these pieces.

You know, before I begin to draw this scene I spend a lot of time just studying lighting and composition. It was very complicated but I really enjoyed it.

Plus! Evening lighting or we can call it sunset or Golden hour was my favourite.

Also, the part that was super challenging is painting the massive cloud there. I failed many times actually. In the end I developed new original brushes just for cloud and I very proud of the result here.

As for the sea here, it took a lot of time to paint it, but really worth it. Now I also have one more original asset to create water material in the future drawings. Yes, that's it.

While drawing these 3 artworks. I made the entire sketch at first. I mean not one by one but I made these 3 in this composition for my artbook page.

With sketching the 3 artworks together like this, I can see them clearly to get good pose for the perfect composition
