Thx for the extensive explanation about the Axolotl Tim. My daughter has the same wish since a while and is around the same age as your boy (if I take all the kids/parenting comics as a time reference ;) ) and you are the only person we know of, owning one and be kind of „reachable“ to provide a statement regarding that question. I think we‘ll start with playing Axe-A-Lot-L and see how that interest goes afterwards.
