A Very Puck Xmas ... circa 2009!
Added 2016-12-25 04:08:54 +0000 UTCYou're looking at a rare, seldom seen pic from the archives of Puck. This pic represents the sole Puck-related output created between the years 2001 and 2011. I took a ten year break, but during that time, the old Puck strips became a bit popular on DeviantArt, and I wanted to give new fans something.
I took the old image and just upated it for Patreon. To keep things current.
This pic (some might remember) served as the basis for the first basic banner on the original Smackjeeves site and on TWC - though the banner version was altered to remove any trace of the Christmas theme.
I'm still mostly happy with this one, even eight years later. I like the insane number of freckles Puck sports here - a number that I greatly reduced when I went into comic production only to spare me the labor of having to place them all.

Style has DEFINITELY changed, though really this style was never really used in the comic strip. This was a more labor-intensive, detail-heavy style with a slightly more realistic proportion for the facial features. I like it, but it would be too much work to use for the comic every week.
