Puck 475 - WIP Pencils
Added 2018-12-28 21:42:10 +0000 UTCHere's a glance at the pencils stage for the first two panels of Puck 475. This lays bare some of the tricks of the trade. For instance, the kids floating in the air over the cast's heads in panel one are going to be digitally moved behind them later to create depth. The cast will also be rearranged in post, which is why Colin is standing on the far side in panel one yet is next to Phoebe in panel two.
Also, you can see from panel one that yes, artists often do draw characters naked before adding clothing over top. It helps define the lines of clothing if said clothing is form-fitting. If it's not, like Colin's suit, then I draw the shape of the clothing, not the person.
