Hey! It's something I'd like to do eventually, but it's just not a high priority or something I'm able to focus on now. Finishing the guide comes first, I'm afraid.

DragnaCarta

Hey Dragna, lots on your plate already and I appologize if I missed where you have already talked about this. So 2024/2025 has shifted a lot around. Players have easy access to radiant damage, new vampires dont care about radiant damage (and also dont regenerate anymore). So given all of your already amazing work... any plans to relook at your monster statblocks with an eye for 2025?

Hello! Big fan of the content, I'm starting a CoS campaign in the next few weeks and all of your stuff so far has been a big help with prep and giving myself a good understanding of how to run this adventure. I was reading through Act 1 Arc A Escape from Death house and I noticed that in the section for the nursemaid's sweet, under the nursery section, the part at the end in parenthesis references whether or not the PCs have heard the song before, but in the sentence you have written "(A player who has previously read or heard or heard..." I figured you'd want to know, I know I would lol. Thanks again for the frankly ridiculous amount of extra content.

Aidan

Hey, no bother at all! Thank you very much for pointing out the issues; I'll make sure it's fixed in the next update. Thank you very much for the kind words; I very much appreciate it. Hope you and your players continue to enjoy the campaign!

Hey Dragna! My players and I are having a blast with Reloaded. We are mid siege of the Village of Barovia, having wrapped up our last session right after defending the Eastern barricade. Players LOVED fighting the zombies in that fight and they actually saved Bildrath from death! It was so fun and surprising! I'm currently working on prepping for our next session and when I got to the Undercroft in the Church of Barovia, I noticed a formatting issue. Right above the profile for Doru, it looks like you were attempting to put an image in of Doru by Caleb Cleveland (I can see the credit given to him), but instead of the image itself, there's just text that reads "![[Doru.jpg]]" Just wanted to let you know, in case you hadn't caught it yet. :) I know Caleb shared the spiderclimb art of Doru very recently, so I'm assuming it's a recent addition to the guide. Thanks for all of the hard work you've put into this. It's been so amazing and I can't thank you enough! ♥ Edit: I found another one in Arc C: "> [!combat]- **Balancing the Wolves**" Sorry for bugging you! I just wanted to help. :)

Kaitlyn

I understand not copying verbatim. I would ask that you then have all descriptions in your own guide? Alter the original slightly or, where not needed, don’t direct Dams to the original book.

Alexander Moreau

Hey Alexander! Appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the campaign. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, that suggestion wouldn't be possible to implement - I can't copy official module text verbatim without violating copyright. Sorry to disappoint :(

DragnaCarta

Dragna, Loving CoS Reloaded. My party ran through Death House and have just left The Village of Barovia. There are several places where the description for a room or scene references 'described on XX page' of the original book. it would be ideal to have all descriptions/content in your own guide. Having to jump between your reloaded guide and the original guide is cumbersome and often counters each other causing headache. Again, enjoying the rework and look forward to more but wanted to give some constructive feedback for future DMs.

Alexander Moreau

thanks for responding and yea i hadn't read through the whole thing at the time but i did see that the fight is outside!

crabcakes01

Hey, and thank you for letting me know! That should refer to "The Hags' Failed Escape" section; I'll make a note of that for editing. And the entirety of the hag fight should take place outside of the windmill, both for OOC reasons (it's a better battlefield) and IC reasons (their entire Phase 2 is just animal/monstrous forms that would demolish the windmill).

DragnaCarta

hey didn't know where to put this but FYI Arc H references "morgantha's plea" and three secrets she would share with the party in exchange for the party returning the kidnapped children, but no plea is written in the arc on the website. Was also wondering abt having the hags retreat to higher floors of bonegrinder if they begin losing the fight (surely they are smart enough to understand when they're beat and then even try to bargain for their life), if that's something you've thought about or tried I would appreciate the input

crabcakes01

You're very welcome! Let me know if you have any difficulty in finding them.

DragnaCarta

I will take a look at those, thank you!

Acliabides

Hey! I currently hope to have Ravenloft Heist published by early June, the brief post-Heist Act III wrap-up arc published by the end of June, the Amber Temple arc published by the end of July/early August, and the Fanes/Van Richten/Ireena's arcs published by early September. Once those are done, the finale should be done no later than the end of September. If you wind up outpacing those, I do have notes for upcoming arcs on the Patreon Trello + Notes & Drafts doc in the Bronze Masterpost, as well as lots of assorted notes from discussions on the Discord server. Feel free to ping me on the Discord any time if you've ever got a question about an upcoming arc; glad to share what I've got!

DragnaCarta

Question: I'm worried that sometime in the next couple month, my game will outpace the guide rewrite. Does a summary or cheat sheet exist of what to do in the as of yet unwritten areas/quests? Mostly my concern is that I'll end up running an area as written, and then significant (and great!) future content from the guide will rely on that area being very different than the book, and I either need to scramble or retcon. I'm not sure if what I'm describing is possible per se, but if it is it would be very helpful.

Acliabides

Will do, now that I can access the discord.

gr4v3dgr

Appreciate it, thanks! Would you mind posting this in the #proofreading channel on the Patreon Discord?

DragnaCarta

It looks to be a carryover from the original, but something that maybe needs refining.

gr4v3dgr

Great. One more I just noticed: Act I, Arc B (Inside the Church). "The doors open to reveal a ten-foot-wide, twenty-foot-long hall leading to a brightly lit chapel. The hall is unlit and reeks of mildew." I'm not sure how the chapel can be both brightly lit and unlit.

gr4v3dgr

Appreciate the note, thank you! I'll make sure to fix that.

DragnaCarta

Hi, I wasn't sure where to put this. I'm planning to run CoS again with my group, using your Reloaded format (looks fantastic so far) and have a question about the Death House. Your "read out loud" description of the Nursemaid's Suite (Act 1, Arc A) describes the nursery room as being open, with something beneath the crib but the notes for the room describe the nursery door as being closed with humming coming from behind the door. Just something needing a minor clarification. Thanks and good luck!

gr4v3dgr

Not until the guide is fully complete, sorry! (And even then, it's not a sure thing - it takes a really long time to format everything properly in PDF, which is time I'd probably prefer to spend on substantive edits or new projects entirely.)

DragnaCarta

oh no :( Will there be an updated PDF? it's so much nicer

Sharpnado

Don't use the PDF! It's deprecated. Check out the Working Document in the Bronze Masterpost - there's a stickied link at the top of the Patreon. You can also find it in the Patreon Discord; just ping me when you join!

DragnaCarta

In! Now where do I find your Act III stuff - for the dinner and Castle Ravenloft? I navigated and downloaded the 2.04 Reloaded PDF but it only goes through Vallaki and Act II, it seems.

AaronElWhite

Any of them! Rough drafts are available to all tiers.

DragnaCarta

I'm here for the Strahd Reloaded content, specifically wanting your Dinner with the Devil stuff as I prep for a session on Thursday. Which tier do I need to subscribe to in order to access all of your material for the CoS campaign? :)

AaronElWhite

Thank you! I'm very glad to hear that. Hope to keep providing helpful content :)

DragnaCarta

I really do appreciate these videos and such that you do Dragna.. I use a lot of your stuff for my own campaign.
