New Patreon Tier Perks + Project Updates
Added 2022-03-01 14:00:06 +0000 UTCHey folks, and I hope that your March is off to a good start! I've got some news regarding the Patreon and my own upcoming projects, so let's dive right in.
Let's start with Patreon news:
First: Gold+ tier patrons will now begin receiving exclusive access to monthly homebrew combat encounters. My goal for these is to create interesting, strategically engaging encounters with a strong sense of narrative, unique environments, and helpful tactical guidance. I expect to begin with some encounters involving draconic lairs, aberrant incursions, Feywild beasties, and more! (I'll also begin publishing a few non-exclusive homebrew encounters on my Twitter, so feel free to keep an eye out there if you'd like to see what these look like!)
Second: Gold+ tier patrons will also now begin to receive exclusive access to monthly "one-page oneshots," a collection of simple homebrew TTRPG oneshots designed to be completed in 3-4 hours. Patrons will also have an opportunity to vote on which genres of oneshots I design, so keep an eye on your Patreon updates in order to cast your vote!
Third: Platinum+ tier patrons will now have an option of foregoing their monthly mentoring session in order to play in a monthly Twitch-streamed oneshot that showcases the previous month's published oneshot adventure. To accommodate for this, I've added three new slots for Platinum patrons on the Patreon. If I have fewer than five players in any given month, I'll round the party out by posting an all-tiers first-come, first-serve sign-up sheet in the Patreon Discord.
Fourth: I have added a slot for an additional Diamond tier patron, just in case there's any interest in it.
Next, let's talk projects:
With Curse of Strahd: Twice Bitten now finished up, I'm expecting to have a lot more free time to work on projects over the coming months. I hope to use that time to experiment with non-Patreon content, including:
- An introductory PWYW D&D 5e oneshot available on DMsGuild titled Jailbreak!, which aims to help teach new DMs how to DM and new players how to play. (Click here to get updates when Jailbreak! becomes available, plus a pair of free resources for beginner players),
- A lecture-style educational DMing podcast titled So You Want to Be a Dungeon Master, including discussions of beginner, intermediate, and advanced DMing skills, strategies, and pitfalls,
- A completed version of Curse of Strahd: Reloaded's chapter titled Encounters with the Devil, plus a revised version of the Forest Fane chapter,
- An edited, cleaned-up version of Curse of Strahd: Reloaded, including Patreon-exclusive printable color PDFs, and
- New FlutesLoot blog articles, including D&D sourcebook/module reviews, DMing tips, and more!
As always, thank you so much for your invaluable support—I just can't say how much it means to me that you enjoy my work, and I hope I can continue working to help make your campaigns the best they can be.
Happy gaming <3
