CoS Reloaded Update: Aug. 26, 2023
Added 2023-08-26 15:56:29 +0000 UTCWelcome to the first installment of a (hopefully) weekly update series in which I share my progress with the revised Curse of Strahd: Reloaded guide, as well as my projections for upcoming releases and future developments.
First, the Vallaki Update™ (a.k.a. Reloaded v2.0.4) released this Wednesday, following several months in development. If you missed it, you can read about it and download it on /r/CurseOfStrahd.
Second, after a short three-day vacation from writing Reloaded, I'm officially back on the wagon. I began writing the introduction to Act III: The Devil's Hand as well as Arc K: The Stolen Gem this morning, and plan to return to my drafting schedule of ~2 hours spent writing per day.
As always, you can receive twice-daily updates regarding my progress by joining the Patreon Discord and signing up for the @Reloaded-Drafts role, which receives a ping whenever I post the results of a writing session.
Third, now that we're officially in the midgame of the campaign, a more concrete schedule for the remainder is starting to take shape. My current hope is to finish Act III (Arcs K & L) by the start of autumn, finish Act IV (Arcs M-T) by Thanksgiving, finish Arc V (Arcs U-X) by the end of January, and finish Arc VI (Arcs Y-Z) by the end of February. Assuming I can stick to my current production schedule, I feel optimistic about my ability to hold to this plan.
Fourth, I'm in the process of solidifying plans to create a full-fledged website to host the revised Reloaded guide. I'll likely host it via Github Pages at first, and we'll see where to go from there. (I don't expect this to take away any time from writing Reloaded itself—any website development will pretty much only take place on weekends.)
Fifth, I've created a Trello board to track my notes and plans for upcoming arcs, as well as to serve as a changelog for edits I plan to make to arcs I've already published. You can find it linked in the Patreon Bronze Masterpost.
Thank you so much for following and supporting this project! I'm excited to see where this journey takes us next.
Cheers,
Dragna
