Let’s get some movement in our figures!

Cargo Carl is here to help! When wanting to add subtle movement without going full MANGA MANIAC, these tips will go a long way!

Have that body lean! Slightly back, to the side, hip turn, shoulder tilt. No one stands ramrod straight unless they’re being ramrodded.

I don’t know what that means.

Make the clothes move with the body! Adding folds where waists twist or elbows bend conveys the action much easier than adding unneeded motion lines. Keep it simple, a few bolder folds and a few lighter will give the clothes volume and help outline the figure!

Move those feet! Once again. No one stands completely equal footed unless they’re squaring up to ask for the manager or about to get their mug shot for starting a fight with the manager they asked to speak to.
