Weekly Update 02/13/20

First off, I want to formally apologize to Dr. Doom. He reached out and expressed how hurtful my words have been, and he's absolutely right. He's a great villain and I should be more careful how I talk about villains moving forward.

Here's a quick list of aspects I think can make a good villain:
- Badass Powers
- Deliciously Evil Villainy
- Understandable Motivations
- Justifiable Anger
- Incredible Kicking Ability

Let me know in the comments if you have any more villainous attributes you love to see (not stilts).

Comments

The best villains actually think that they are the hero and do not recognize their own villainous pursuit of what might be a noble goal. This is what can make The Punisher so interesting. Even though revenge against the evil men who killed his family is noble and understandable, he can easily drift back and forth across the hero and villain line depending on just what he is willing to do in that pursuit.

I’m glad you got things worked out with the great and powerful Doom.
