I present my first traditionally painted fantasy illustration! Though it still needs time to dry before the final varnish, I'm proud of the final result and am eager to apply the lessons learned toward my next piece!
Despite my experience in representational oil painting, creating a fantasy scene felt like an entirely different discipline, a humble reminder to avoid complacency in one's skills and/process, lest the image will ultimately suffer. I'm still a ways away from the artist I aspire to be, but 'Tempting Fate' is a step in the right direction.
