Sahuagin Tribe

After making a bunch of Hobgoblins, I then went and made a bunch of Sahuagin! They all play together like the Hobgoblins did, but instead of telling the story of a regimented unit or an army, they're all blood thirsty SHARK-MEN!

For the .md files to look the way they do in the screenshots, with everything linked, go download Nax the Raven's 5eSRD vault and plug these files into the root there. Then it'll show up correctly!

Included in the .zip file is also the revised hobgoblins based on feedback from last week! Feel free to override those files by putting the zip into your root.

I had an encounter in mind for my Avernus campaign where the party was going to face against some hobgoblins working with sahuagin. I remade it last weekend to include your hobgoblin statblocks, and now I'll have to make it again to incorporate these new sahuagin! So much work for nothing! Jokes aside, amazing work, loving the idea of the modular monsters. It's inspiring me to do the same with other creatures. I also think the post is missing the Shaman?

Haha thanks! We'll see if I continue being this excited about it! And yeah, I've also got Where Evil Lives as well.

These modular monsters videos are making me want to back your Mystic Arts Flee Mortals remix on kickstarter pronto. You're doing great work, Dadi, combining your expertise with some great concepts and improving upon what's seen in Flee Mortals. MCDM inspired me greatly getting into DnD, specifically Matt Coleville's explanatory "running the game" videos, and everything he did to hype up flee mortals, it made me really respect their game design. Your thoughts that further improve on some of their concepts seen in Flee Mortals are great. If you haven't seen it, their book "Where Evil Lives" is great too. I love that you're designing with that practical mindset of memorizing abilities and "scaling" monsters into multiple versions of the same statblock. It's simple elegance will carry this concept as far as you are willing to take it. I'm sure the audience will eat it up. Your excitement for the process is invigorating and inspiring to me.

I'll see what we can do!

These are great! Would it be possible to get a more printable version of these statblocks (and the hobgoblins)? I like to have physical copies of statblocks at the table. Please and Thank you!
