The Eminence in Shadow Episode 13 Reaction

I'm really looking forward to the next ep. Sure hope they make it epic af.

In this episode Alpha called out to Delta to leave & Delta didn't listen So Alpha had to get serious and call out her again and Delta got scared. What they didn't include from the manga was that Delta said "I Apologized, So please Don't take My Snacks Away. I'm Sorry 😥" It would've been great if they added into this episode.

Salinda Bandara

It definitely feels that way. That she was a successful experiment and couldn't be controlled. Especially, after hearing the Archbishop mention she is uncooperative and that has delayed their progress. She's probably immortal and has been a prisoner in the Sanctuary for years. Crazy stuff. I can't wait to see episode 14.

I think the witch was a success just like Olivier, but they couldn't control her. She was just as powerful as Olivier, but caused uncontrolled destruction and they labeled her the calamity for it. That's what I assume from them finding her younger self in that battlefield memory. I'm assuming her younger self killed the soldiers on that battlefield as they fought to control her. Olivier was successful and remained obedient to the cult and fought against Diablos. Olivier was an elf, the witch was human, and I'd bet there was a successful beast person as well. I'd further bet all of the possessed girls in the current age are descended from those 3 successes. Alpha, as an Elf is descended from Olivier, Human possessed like, Nu, are descended from the witch, and beast possessed like Delta are descended from the unidentified successful beast person. The cult probably let them have children, or even forced those original 3 successes to have children. Even if they couldn't control them, because they needed to keep the possessed blood lines alive to use later through the ages. These three successes probably later became enshrined in the fables and legends as the 3 heroes in the story Cid mentioned in the first or second episode.

Thanks, man! This was a fun episode. I can't wait to see what Cid does next episode.

So, did they awaken when Shadow cured them of the curse? I misunderstood the lost technique part. After rewatching, I see he was talking about the awakening thing. She's just a brute force beast and I love it.

I'm aware the 7 shades are hero descendents, but are their subordinates also descendents? I think I know what scene you're referring to. If so, I worded it poorly. Sorry. I was correcting myself because I wasn't sure if all the members present were shades or if some were the other members. Its kind of hard to tell, considering we barely spend time with them. That's probably my biggest gripe with this series so far.

Anriku

They're all descended from the heroes the 7 Shades were cured by Cid himself.

When they were talking about Delta, the Baldy was surprised that she had Awakened. For reference that is the state the the Cult Members reach when they take the pills. As has been mentioned briefly in previous episodes there are different stages of awakening. The technique to awaken WITHOUT the pills is what had been lost (Well until Shadow, lol). It's not that Delta is using some ancinet techniques. She really is just using brute force and violence.

Loved the episode and your reaction. Probably my fav episode for now. I loved Aurora in the manga and now with the anime she is starting to become my fav.
