Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters Episode 1-3 Reaction

I enjoyed the Kaiju designs, the combat was fluid, and the lore is intriguing, but I don't know if I vibe with it as much as other series. Do you want more Kaijudo here? I'm sure I'll become more invested as the episodes go on.
I think I might use the extra episode for Trollhunters. I'll decide sometime soon. Enjoy!

This is actually the reason I signed up for your patreon (well, this, and you finished Quadstrike), although I enjoy your other reactions, as well. I like your Burst reactions the most of reactors I've seen since you actually pay attention and seem to do a bit of wiki'ing in-between episodes, which is more than most. I feel like Kaijudo was a heavily underestimated cartoon. Similarly to Prime and G.I. Joe Renegades, which is the best Joe-anything cartoon/movie-wise, it's an all ages show that doesn't dumb itself down, so kids see other kids dealing with loss, bullying, gray morality, and relationships in fairly realistic ways. Probably the weakest point for me were the monster designs, which might explain why the show didn't go beyond 2 seasons. It was made to sell a card game, which was basically Magic: The Gathering for a younger audience. Presumably, the card game didn't sell enough to justify continuing. Generally I try not to gush about stuff, but somebody just acknowledging the show exists is cool. This was longer than I wanted it to be, but eh.
