I mean… yeah.

Just to clarify, as some people have misunderstood, I’m literally saying ‘surely there’s a better way to get such an important message across’.

To me JSO’s tactics are counterproductive. How hard would it be to clean up the social media accounts of protestors who are going to stop traffic on a busy motorway and make videos of themselves sobbing, before they do it? In the video this woman just seems like an attention-seeker type plus she’s driving a car. It totally undermines their message and makes them easy to dismiss for the average person.

Not to mention this shit is giving the government a free pass to bring in new laws against protestors across the board. Nothing will change with oil but protest rights will be lost cos of these half-assed protests.

I get the sense that defending JSO makes people who are sat on their arse doing nothing about climate change feel better about themselves. Fair enough. You’re protesters too in a way guys!

Anyway, that’s my opinion, so sorry, I didn’t ask to be born! I’ve got bigger fish to fry anyway now cos I’ve just pulled my oven door off.
