It may be hard to wrap your head around at first, just as crypto currencies are, but itโs probably worth the effort, especially for artists, in that the artist not only can sell his creation directly without galleries or agents for a fee of about 2.5%, but he can also establish a royalty for a percentage of each subsequent sale by the purchaser, usually 10%. Since NFT buyers often buy in order to sell again at a profit, and the royalty is a lifetime deal on the original art, it could amount to a chunk of change that just keeps giving, like in the music business.
