August Update: Big Changes to the Rewards Tiers!

August has started, my vacation is over and it's time to for another update! The will be some big changes to the page, so make sure to read this one!

I'll start off by talking to you about some changes I'll be making to the different tiers. This will mostly affect the Squire and Knight tiers. Over the last couple of months I have been thinking about how to make the most of this page and have decided to switch up some rewards. Long story short: I'm currently offering too much for too little. I'll write down the what the rewards tiers will look like starting September 1st!

SQUIRE TIER

KNIGHT TIER

 All Squire Rewards

DUKE TIER

Squire & Knight Rewards

As you can see, the polls will become exclusive to the Knight and Duke tiers. Additionally, the season variations, which are currently part of the Knight Tier, will become exclusive to the Duke Tier. WIP's are no longer a rewards, unless there is particular interest is them.

Again, these changes will take effect September 1st. Make sure to pledge at the tier for which you want to receive the rewards!

The Village of Ipsam

Located in the center of the Kingdom of Rasfadal lies the Village of Ipsam. Ipsam is build near the ruins of Old Ipsam, which burned down in a terrible fire, a century ago. The only thing that survived the inferno was the Church of Theala, and it still stands where it always has.

The people of Ipsam live a quiet life on the Fendalian countryside. Most people work on the fields or go to the nearby forests and hills to hunt. That's about the most exciting thing that happens here.

Or... well, there's the church. During the great fire the old village burned down completely. The people feared the Goddess didn't think their dedication was adequate as had the village go up in flames as punishment for their sins.

Why would they be punished you ask me? Well, there are no official records of course, but it is said that the people of Ipsam grew arrogant. See, Theala is the Goddess of Luck and the people of Ipsam had it so good, they didn't think they needed Her anymore. The stopped holding feasts in Her name. The farmers stopped thanking Her after exceptional harvests, hunters stopped thanking Her as they barely escaped from from the forests with their lives. The people grew unthankful.

That all changed after the fire. But they are scared of what might happen when they forget to thank Her again. It would be really convenient if someone could investigate the fire. Maybe they would find that it wasn't Theala who caused the fire.

The Lords of Olorlay

On the northerns shores of Wordal are the lands of Olorlay. It is a harsh land rules by eight clans, all part of the Alliance of the Lords of Olorlay.

Two years Fjurmann Ojntund started subjugating the clans of Knurden, uniting them under one banner. Some welcomed his new ways, but others despised it. The Lords of the clans of Olorlay swore to never become part of this Kingdom of Knurden and formed the Alliance of the Lords of Olorlay. Eight clans put aside their differences and joined together to resist the Knurd conquest and protect their culture.

Since before anyone can remember there have been feuds going on between the Lords of Olorlay. Clans are sworn enemies for reasons that no living being can recall. This is no strong foundation for an alliance and as such there is a lot of tension between the clans. The clans in the east are under no direct threat from the Kingdom of Knurden and happily indulge themselves in petty skirmishes amongst each other while the western clans grow increasingly more angry about the lack of support against the Knurd forces.

The alliance is fragile, and could break any moment. When it does, the northern shores of Wordal will likely be drenched in blood.

The Village of Ferral

The Village of Ferral is a quiet, cozy village long the Harrin Run. The people live a simple life or farming.

Being located in the center of the Kingdom, Ferral sees a fair amount of traffic coming through, and during the Season Fairs the village square is filled with stalls and shops. Merchants and vendors from the surrounding area, all hope to sell their wares to travelers.

one of the most noteworthy assets of Ferral is Martain's Oddities, a small shop owned by Martain the Halfling. He has a wide array of goods, from foreign trinkets to magical items and more. It is said that whatever you need, Martain will be able to get it for you. Just don't ask him where he gets it.

River Crossing

Just outside of town is the river crossing, famous for the many incidents that occur there. Some travelers speak of trolls hiding under the bridge. Other's arrive at the town gates soaked, after the bridge collapsed under their weight and yet other adventurers claim there was no bridge at all!

The next map that I'm working on is the map of Feryndon, a religious city in Soravia, the northern most region of Rasfadal. It's nearly done, and only needs labeling to be done at this point. I plan to post it later this week!

That it for this update! As always, happy gaming!

August Update: Big Changes to the Rewards Tiers!

Comments

Im curious about something related to the Olorlay map. in the top left corner of the map there is a region without a label, but according to your Worldanvil, that's where Knurden should be. However the Knurden map doesn't exactly fill the entire area. Does that mean you'll be doing a revisit similar to what you did with Rasfadal!?
