House of the Elven King

The home of the elven king is hidden away from other mortal creatures, built in the veil between the mortal world and the fey realm. Deep within the Hinder-Larr Forest it almost seems to fade into and out of existence, here one moment and gone the next.

Long ago when the Elven Purge started, many high elves left the continent. Nobility was granted to all who could trace their bloodline back to elven origins. In an attempt to secure their position the ruling nobles began a war against the high elves meaning to wipe them out entirely.

Many elves left, but some remained and prayed to the gods for help. Help was given to them in the form of a great city, located between the mortal world and the realm of the gods themselves. This city was hidden from all who would wish ill upon the elves. This way they would be safe from the people hunting them.

The high elves that remained have rarely left the city since. A few decades ago word spread that merchants from Callaern had discovered a new continent. Soon came the rumors of a new people, or rather a long lost one: the high elves. While most elves are skeptical and cautious, some have decided to leave their city and enter the mortal world again.

High elves hadn't been seen for many centuries, but now they are coming back, and some people suspect they never left.
