Todays map is the second map for July's Theme: Caves and Dungeon.
Morlorrim is one of the First Gods. He is the Lord of Shadows and master of the Plane of Shadows. There used to be a great following of Morlorrim, but that changed ages ago.
Then Morlorrim came to this world to extend his power and claim this plane for himself. He sought to cover the world in eternal darkness, to erase all light from existence. His ultimate goal was unknown, but some believe he intended to destroy the plane of light and to achieve that he needed to pass through this world.
Churches dedicated to Morlorrim used to be found throughout the entire kingdom of Rasfadal, but now most of them were torn down. The ones that still stand are nothing more than ruins.
While most people are hesitant to pray to Morlorrim directly, he is still believed to play a crucial part is maintaining the Great Balance and as such you'll find churches dedicated to the god still. Most people that commit themselves to the God are soon persuaded his his lies and promises and go down a dark path, forming cults around Morlorrim.

2024-11-22 18:24:54 +0000 UTCI wouldn't necessarily put this is a specific place. I think it's a pretty generic church design and can be put in any or multiple locations. I don't know how I'll use it in my campaign yet, but it'll probably in The Swamps or Daradal, the land around Thring and the Dossor Hills.
