Hey everyone! Here's the first intact monument for this theme: The Statue of Fredryc Lightbringer.
Once in a while a knight achieves what every knight aspires: eternal glory. To honor these men and women great statues are constructed on places that are strongly connected to their heroism.
Fredryc Lightbringer was a Fendalian knight that one day fell in the Battle of Daradal, where he was thrown off the cliffs and taken by the river Thring to his presumed death. In truth he survived the fall, and in the river received visions from the Gods of Light, Annaaru specifically. When he regained consciousness on the banks of the river he returned to the place were disaster struck him and took the time to reflect on his new calling. After two days he turned around and looked upon the spot where he would found the Temple of Annaaru, and later the city of Thring, named after the river in which he was cast.
The temple of Annaaru became the largest in the land and quickly attracted devout followers of the Goddess. Over time the city would become a renowned place of healing.
After his death in 786AP the people of Thring erected a statue to honor Fredryc upon the cliffs from which he fell so long ago. Fredryc Lightbringer still continues to inspire the people of Thring and followers of the Gods of Light. His statue is believed to be strongly tied to the Gods he served.
